Once fuel would be sufficiently available, Nigerians gat no probs, the govt of today has been doing whatever it likes and we cannot complain. If. removing the subsidy would strike out fuel scarcity, we good

Sighs. I don't think the FG have the power to dictate price as the oil marketers themselves will determine it because there will be competition in the market then.

Akpos jumps from bed and starts shouting "God save me, save me, save me. The wife asked, did you have a nightmare? He says yes. The wife asked ask again, were you been chased by a lion? Akpos replied; lion is even better. I nearly voted for Buhari again‎ grin

Hypocrisy is when you remove something you never believed believed to have existed.

Hypocrisy is when you shouted! Crucify GEJ! When he removed fuel subsidy the but hail PMB
for the intention to remove it
.i don't still understand how u guys use ur brain to reason, when ur in politics
2012 January 1, gej increased removed subsidy, a liter was sold for N140, before it was reduced to 97, the aim of removing it was to build a refinery in Nigeria, yet throughout the 3 yrs+ gej used, we didn't see any sign of refinery
pls, tell me how u reason, i don't still understand your stupid comment
People like u that supports GEJ even after his downfall, it seems ur in a way connected to the money embezzled during gej's regime

N1tr on subsidy in 2015? I think they say baba has the magic wand to reduce subsidy. What is the difference between this figure and the one past government gave in face of high crude price?
Oshiomole and Fashola blackmailed jonathan to drop price last year claiming that the crude price has drop and that ought to reflect on local gasoline price. Now at $38/barrel they want to revert back to old N97/litre.
IGR form the bulk of government financing of 2016 budget, is it the people that are going through hard time already that will pay for the IGR. I guess maybe the people are insulated from the effect of global austerity occasion by the oil crisis in the thinking of APC.
Baba claimed subsidy doesnt exist, his followers applauded him and call past government fraudsters. They claimed baba understands dynamics of petroleum industry more than anyone else because he was the best petroleum minister Nigeria ever had. With him in charge the industry they say is safe. Fastracked to now baba wants to remove subsidy he never acknowledged exists. Do you remove what you claim never existed? Can baba who never knew subsidy exist when it does be relied on to move the industry forward? To me baba is archaic and doesnt understand how modern petroleum industry works. He can't improve the fortune of that sector. Let him appoint a substantiative Minister of petroleum with authentic know-how..

APC seems to be scam indeed. What they once condemned is what they are bringing back. Nigeria is in for a long thing.

FG can only dictate the prices of PMS sold in NNPC filling stations. But market forces will determine the rest.
I believe in the short run the cabals running the oil industry will make a big killing, but at the long run more and more people will enter the market and the price of PMS will eventually crash.
I am just sad cause we would have passed this stage if the South west had allowed Jonathan to remove the subsidy when he did. But Nigerian like postponing their days of sufferings.

You just lied. The aim of subsidy removal was not to build refinery in Nigeria. It was beyond that. SURE-P if you remember was in charge of subsidy savings for the FG. Their activities were across different sector. Do a little research for your education.

Mummy Patience is a prophetess. She prophesied that this Government will be all about "I will", "I will" and will end up achieving little or nothing but instead of listening to her wise words, most people were busy making caricature of her English.

The kind of problems Nigerian economy has sunk into now, not even Obama's wife's queen's English can solve it.

Buhari should please bow down and resign.

Believe me you, N141 is a more realistic price than N97 at least in the short run. FG cannot dictate to marketers the prices they will sell the products. If FG tries it, we are going to have another round of scarcity.

There is no subsidy in the first place, and I don't see any reason why PMS shouldn't be sold for 60 with crude oil being sold for $37/barrel
it wont because we are not refining the oil that we use we are importing it, i mean buying it , that where the issue of subsidy came in place

Exactly. The marketers will determine the prices of the product in the short run. I just pray they don't combine forces to inflict more sufferings on the hapless citizenry.

The same people that mobilise NLC, gullible youths, some celebrities and politicans on January 2012 are now the one that is battling tooth and nail to remove subsidy. They have been using some agents and paid columnists in newspapers to test the popularity or otherwise of this decision.

We are prepared for you as the masses of this country will not and will never support this act even if it is brought by Jesus Christ. What nonsense.
