“We are indeed shocked that President Buhari and his minister of information have come up with two different reasons for the current fuel crisis in the country. While we appreciate the President’s apology, we think it is high time he called this minister to order as his excessive propaganda and blame game are ridiculing this administration and the image of the nation.

I quite agree with this for the first time ever. Anything other than the above is simply called 'BLABBER'

I quite agree with PDP. They may n's have gotten it right but are more experienced. They criticized TSA and it came to pass, they criticized refinery propaganda by APC and where are we today?

On a more serious note; this budget is not the people's budget! Let us consider the truth and not the source of this information!!

Look around; consider Nigeria's Macro-economic space! Fuel subsidy is being paid for but sells for as high as #150 per litre, Jigawa state residents are paying as high as #300!

Buhari has lifted import ban on rice, creating unfavourable competition for our local agricultural sector; restricted currency trade to the dollar in such a manner that affects our economy which relies on import to boost certain sectors of manufacturing and trade in Nigeria, leaving Nigerian and International traders alike helpless in the hands of Black Market traders of the dollar; use of Credit cards abroad obtained from Nigeria is banned by CBN, Rumours are already filtering that western Union may be checking out of Nigeria very soon the same way J.P. Morgan chucked us out of their investment port-folio; USA and Iran have finally gained access to the world oil Market as marketers which is already at an all time low!!

And then what does Mr President do; he chooses to borrow #2trillion!!
For crying out, how does he propose to pay?? How does he even propose to finance the budget? What is his agenda for nation? Is it his policy direction to continue blaming Jonathan till the price of oil goes up??

Goldman and Sachs have long predicted that the price of oil is going to fall to $20 2015/2016! What exactly is his plan; besides promises heaven and earth and then send Lai Mohammed to blame Jonathan when they don't deliver!!??

This is exactly how Aregbesola started! At a time when Oil states like Ondo were pegging budget at #167bn, Osun was busy borrowing to fund budget of over $240bn consecutively for 3years at a time when annual allocation from Federal government was less than 60bn a year!! As at now, Osun is owing 3months salary even after receiving billions of Naira in bailout funds to offset 9months sallary arrears, minus money owed to Hoteliers and contractors under various bogus charity project that have no bearing on the overall improvement on the Macro-economic space of the state! When people complained, Aregbesola's caucus were busy cheering him on as the best governor; now the state is worse off than how he met it: and it is still Jonathan's fault!!

What we are seeing is budget of over #6trillion loaded with frivolities in a bid to satisfy unrealistic and bogus campaign promises - note that foreign missions and diplomatic activities overseas are not captured/detailed in this budget which may end up shooting the total budget to as high as #25trillion!!

Nobody is raising crucial questions now; the man is busy creating Macro-economic policies and decisions that are gradually isolating Nigeria from International Finance Organisations, relationship built with serious lobbying from Obasanjo's administration through to Jonathan's time courtesy Nkonjo Iweala for over 16years!!

May God not allow Buhari to bring this nation to bring this Nation to the level of Osun State!!

When I tell people that buhari doesn't know who he is or where he is ,people think I am joking or that we just hate the grandpa,he has been turned into a human robot and he is just rubber stamping everything tabled before him. This is a budget full of potential loopholes for money siphoning and corruption. “Furthermore, it is instructive to note the official endorsement of Mr. President to the devaluation of the naira as against his campaign promise of firming up the value of our currency even to the much vaunted one naira to one dollar.

I appreciate the role of the opposition but it should be based on facts. You cannot expect someone to fulfill a promise made for him by a newspaper.

I am amazed, or not, at the way and matter our State-men talk and comport themselves.
The budget had just been submitted to the NA today, we are yet to fully analysis and digest its content. Mr Metuh has always 'kill the baby on it's arrival'.
Partisan, sectional and divisive politics will take us nowhere!

what surprise me abt the budget is that the combine ministry of power, works and housing is too small compare to that of only transport alone men I just tire for our leaders power and works are very key part to our country progress I was expecting something higher well I am not impressed by the budgets

Olisa need to ask himself for the whereabout of all the formal attack dogs of the clueless and visionless badluck Jonathan who plunged Nigeria into a deep economic crises. where is okupe and makun labara today? where is abating? where is kuku Kingsley? where is the blogger king of sentiment , femi aribisala?where is mama peace?where are the witches and wizards dt endorsed badluck Jonathan? where are the fake men of God dt claimed, God showed them there was no vacancy in aso rock? one need not be told that pdp is now a Niger delta political party. Also it is clear that that more than 2trillion is going to be borrowed to fund welfare in the budget, how sensible is that? Do u borrow to eat?

Nigerians are easily gullible that I wonder if we ever have memory. Just a merke presentation of budget and some people are already jumping forgetting that the is the same government who has not been able to bring to reality all they promises before the election. As for me I will wait and see how it's implemented. Beside no accusation whether from PDP or other parties should be neglected. Beside we are better of with constant and consistent opposition. Nigeria would have been much difference if we have always had this height of opposition and critics since 1999.

I have no doubt that PMB is sincere. But sincerity alone will not save Nigeria from the looming economic tsunami. The cloud of severe depression is looming and most Nairalanders are busy insulting themselves along party lines. It is quite obvious that PMB has limitations in understanding the basics of Nigerian economy system. Unfortunately, members of his economy team are afraid to tell him the truth so that they will not be labelled as rebel. The budget is based on 38USD per barrel but as at today the cost of crude oil is 36USD per barrel and there is possibility that it will drop further.
Borrowing N2trillion is the most irresponsible things to do in an economy that is in recession! Nigeria needs budget of reality and not budget of change!
The annoying thing in the budget is the lack of plan to diversify our economy and create more jobs. We are so used to free money that we want to borrow to satisfy today's desires at the detriment of tomorrows progress.
Let PMB's economic team study the Russian model..............

do reflections in different gap btw fashola ministry and transport reflects the plan of days govt to involve pppi, and poor investment in d transport subsection by the corrupt and clueless gej administration. the balance would be fashioned out, moreover, the size of d budget in ministries is not detected means, do important tin us execution. imagine what would v happened if NOI and dasukis of dz world were to execute dz budget under the clueless and visionless Badluck gej?

Do you expect the government to budget for private companies who own the DISCOs & GENCOs, what belongs to government is the bridge-transmission. Works will take the lion share in that ministry because there is so much to fix on our roads.
