2015 has been a great year, all thanks to God for his direction and the helpers he has sent my way. Well many have achieved success WITHOUT God but for me I return all glory and honor back to him. I have tried a lot but my OWN efforts practically failed, but when I called on God,went fasting and praying doors were opening, divine connections etc. God won't do everything for man,he would only show up when such person has put in his/her best! Another lesson is that God works according to his own calendar/time and agenda, not ours! #patience! |

dearpreye:Since after I was banned for no reason, I've not had the appetite to login here. I only just visit here once in a while now as a guest, read some headlines or a few comments and leave. Anyway, until I saw this piece by you It's funny that we think alike in almost every aspect of life yet I don't know u and vice versa. I've never bn a believer on one source of income. Apart from my primary white collar job which earns a decent amount, I added another source of income 3 years ago(turned out to be one smart move) I've also once started a business that didn't see the light of the day too Right now, I'm working on a third source of income. Which could either turn out to be a huge move or gulp money n fail (Oghene forbid)Funny enough, If you don't take those risks of creating another source of income, you're taking a greater risk of putting all your eggs in one basket. What if you're laid off or fired? Apart from taking risks, another important attribute is humility. The more humble you are as an entrepreneur, the more successful you'll be. You have to be very very humble towards your customers/clients. Listen to their complaints, apologise n make changes as needed. Make your customers/clients feel like they're your bosses. You need them cos loyalty is very important while u try to win new customers/clients over . Also the ones that are satisfied with your product or service, they will refer your company to others. Hence humility won't kill you rather u're securing your future financially. The end will justify the means I would've said more but I'm a bit occupied now Nice piece by you as usual. #respect# |

IHate9ja1:That's some great, short but smart testimony. I'm so happy you were able to find your answers in Him Who created the heavens and the earth. I believe that should serve as your winning formula. Just stick to it. And it's my prayer that 2016 shall be very great in every ramifications. |

Rose2014:I follow you for some very good reasons. Sorry for the ban. It's all a part of he story. I used to live by my primary source of income till I became very broke and in huge debts, totalling more than my five months salary. Then I knew there was problems and that I was headed for the rocks. My worry, positive worry, led me into a period of very intense study on the management of personal finance; it then became very clear that I was swimming naked under the waters and was simply lucky because the tides weren't out yet. What followed after the intense study was a revelation of personal financial flaws that MUST be plucked. It took me a few months to reorder my financial ship around. This period let me into the knowledge of passive income. My Nigerian standards, I'm NOT poorly paid bit I needed freedom and time. My hate for the single income job fuelled my passion into taking risks. Yes. Risks. You've got to take some if you really want to be great. There's no denying that point. Today I define wealth as how many days/months I can go without pay. That's ye net worth mentality- totally different from the paycheck mentality I used to have. SMH! Humility is life. Thanks for the brief paragraph on that. Oghene Forbid. Are you an Urhobo? Like attracts like. |

Goodboy2012:We've cleared an area of land in my villa for this, so we ain't paying any rent. It's our land. You could decide to focus on egg production (a sure money spinner) in which case, you will be raising layers. When they're done recouping your investment in more than ten folds, you still sell them all off as old-layer hens. Or you can focus on broilers which can be ready for market in four to five months. This is capital intensive because of much feed consumption and the drugs too. My mum will be the manager of the farm by the way coz she is less busy presently and has raised a big farm years ago before she got a got a busier job with Imo State Board of Internal revenue and the farm closed down naturally. |
