Very Interesting read. I actually enjoyed it.

I particularly found the story of the marabout fascinating. By all accounts Atiku's marabout truly made the prediction about him not being governor despite being elected and it came to pass.

Now this is what I find inexplicable. If the marabout's initial prediction came to pass without Atiku actively engineering it, then why didn't he just wait for the second prediction of him taking over from Obasanjo to also happen in its own way. Why did he think it was up to him to make moves to make that prediction come to pass.
If he had left everything to God and fate, maybe one way or another he would have taken over from Obasanjo within months as predicted. His over-ambition robbed him of his glory

Once you believe in marabout, it becomes impossible to do nothing.

Same thing happened to Overall in Ola Rotimi's "the gods are not to blame"

Also in Shakespeare's Macbeth

The book "My watch" is in three volumes. Volume 1, 2 and 3 and it goes for #5,000. Have the book but haven't started reading it. Presently reading " The Tragedy of Victory: on the spot account of the Nigeria-Biafra war in the Atlantic Theatre" authored by Brigadier-General Godwin Alabi-Isama. The book is very intriguing and expository. Will recommend it to any one who is desirous of having an insight on what transpired during the war.

Hello, you wrote the book 'My Watch' is in 3 volumes; is it 3 volumes in a Single Book or 3 different Books?
And where did you get the hard copies?
Thank you.

Owing to the voluminous nature of the book, it was divided into three volumes with the same title. In Port Harcourt, is a common sight to see the book amongst hawkers in major traffic flash points displaying it for sale.

Thanks for the prompt response; slight correction though; I think you meant to write 'Hawkers' not 'Hookers' smiley

[size=18pt]if I may ask, how did Vice President Atiku Abubakar made the money that he used to built a university ( american university of Nigeria ) in yola, Adamanwa state?

This is some of the vital information that was missing in your so called book- Baba Obasanjo

Why is it common amongst Muslim politicians to enlist the services of marabout to predict their political future? Don't know if any of you have read "The accidental Public Servant" by Nasir Elrufai! He also alleged that late President Yar'adua had a penchant for inviting marabout from Mali to Aso rock to see the future for him.

A wise person who would look beyond the blame game and focus on wisdom in this little extract from the book. For me I learnt this

"Timely information is a very important principle of war and also of politics. In politics, just as in war, what matters is not just your plan, but knowledge of your opponent’s plan"

This is key.one can apply this in your daily endeavor and other important events of life. God bless OBJ for the wisdom shared in this book

I agree with you. He ruled and ruined the country more than anybody else.

But presently he is lesser problem because it is buhari and his apc people in control of the country.

The apc government that spread hate. The genocider.
