What is all these rigmarole by the government. In a simple sentence of four words - "Subsidy has been removed'" at least for the first quarter of 2016. In the past, cost was more than pump price, that was why we had subsidy from government. From January 2016, pump prices will be higher than cost - 9 kobo in nnpc stations and 21 kobo in other stations, so consumers will be subsidizing govt. Anyway, government has successfully substituted the word 'subsidy' with a more politically correct - 'price modulation'. 5 Likes |

2n2k: Cool (half bread is better than . . .) if no subsidy. A stronger Naira/working refineries would have been so helpful in bringing prices to the N50/litre range. 1 Like |

7footre:. . . wondering why you want the populace at the mercy of oil dealers without regulation -- fuel (PMS, DPK, AGO) is not your average everyday commodity that can be left unregulated -- at least not in a country of vultures like ours. 3 Likes |

Since we have technically won the war on Boko Haram, we might as well get a technical reduction in fuel price. Everything about this government is technical, except the lies of 'Comical Ali' 50kobo change 6 Likes |

kmb2k: Can you explain why you think the price reduction is silly? Fact is....it has become cheaper to import fuel...so prices must come down. That is why GEJ first reduced the price...it was the then govt's way of acknowledging the price reduction |
