Very few people are aware outside of Igala, Ndoki and Egbema produces the second highest oil in River state. Both Ndoki and Egbema are pure Igbos that Gowon shamessly carved out of Abia and IMO state in other to reduce the oil from the two states.
Apart from that, majority of the seafood we trade is also from those two areas if you exclude igalas.

Now for Anioma, we have the highest gas in that delta state. Not only that, a portion of anioma so produce oil. That's another reason why they refuse to allow us to get anioma state as we've been asking for eons now.

Do you not ever wonder why none of them contested against the Igbo indigenous in Benue when they first came out but for the rest of us in the so called "SS", they always quick to tell us who the f2k we are. I swear on this NL, I've learned why outside of SE and the rest of my anioma and SS Igbo people, there is noone on that zoo to actually call a sibling. I f2king despise that nation with every fiber of my being.

I guess you don't really know me because if you constantly read my posts you would no I regard Ika, Ndokwa, Ikwerre, Etche, Ndoni, Ogba etc people as Igbos. My only point was that Igbo denials in the delta igbo area comes from the Ika and Ndokwa areas mainly. Igbo denials doesn't necessarily mean that the denial is valid. I was only being factual.

And yes I've been to Ika land before in 2013.

It's quite a pleasant sight to see more and more people from these areas proclaiming their Igbo identity. The effects of the recent playout of Nigerian politics (the last elections and the SE-SS solidarity in the elections behind Jonathan shows that the country is still divided between North and South as in the 1960s) and fall in oil prices are beginning to dawn on these people. I've seen some Ika Igbos come out in recent times to proclaim their Igboness. I have an Ika classmate of mine who would deny vehemently being Igboring our first year in UNN and by final year he was pro-Igbo just as other Igbo people. There's another one also I know who had that same mentality up till our 4th year. Did you know that he now carries Igbo matter on his head on facebook more than many Igbos. I also know another one too from Agbor, also went to UNN, who had a debate with me one time on bbm and I schooled him on Igbo history and relations in Nigeria. That changed his ideology totally and he's been pro-igbo ever since.

I guess the main motivating factor towards this sudden Igbo consciousness growing amongst these people is the seemingly increasing loss of favour from the Nigerian government and the fall (and expected future fall) in oil prices and the attendant loss of relevance within the Nigerian polity. Suddenly people begin to see things for themselves as they truly are.

Give the glory to the right person and stop giving it to "fall of oil prices".
In Anioma, we have other forms of resources outside of oil so it has nothing to do with the oil. The person you should be praising is Nnamdi KANU. No matter how rude, loud and insulting that man is he did a lot to open the eyes of every Igbo person with his radio. That's why they are trying so hard to shut him up.

A lot of you guys don't even realize the impact Nnamdi made to Anioma. I can't say what he did for SE but for anioma, that man opened our eyes. I learned that the second i read that ika ikenga now call themsves "igbo pan group". Anyone of us that knew about ika ikenga can verbally inform you how anti-igbo ika ikenga used to be. To learn they now consider themselves "igbo pan group" and even spoke up for Nnamdi showed me exactly the impact Nnamdi was doing. Even my third cousin now calls himself Igbo. Someone I always known that told the entire world he's ukwuani, not Igbo. Always fought with every body whenever you call him "Igbo". Hell the nigga even fought me self is now going around telling everyone he's "Igbo". He's even now a member of IPOB Delta. Nnamdi had a huge impact at least in my opinion.

That's why it shocks me the people selling out Nnamdi are all from SE. Excluding Abia and Anambra, the rest of you guys are just falling my hands

I dont want to call it hate. But I think Afam may have an unlying reason why he is dispassionate about Igbo areas in the south/south. Abagworo is totally different from Afam, and apart from his usual 'Ikwerres are not Igbos' stand you always see him come out to defend other parts of Igboland. But on most occasions he loses his cool and hits out on S/S areas with pockets of Igbo denial, instead of engaging a single individual denial. Why I don't blame them is because they fought numerous intellectual battles against so many anti-Igbo insurgents in the wee days of nairaland. Both the denials within and outside. I remember one Ogbuefi a fighter and one hell of a dude. The guy made many of us in the NBF proud in those days. A true Ika son who single handedly gave one bini imposter masquerading as Ika a hot pursuit out of the forum and chase him all the way down to nairaland. Oh my God! you ought to see this guy, intellectually sound and dogged. But, after a while we never heard from him again and his absence created a lot of vacuum that made people like Ezeagu and Afam weary of engaging so many imposters at the same time. This I think brought an unusual mindset in the heart of Ezeagu and Afam.
But, of late I have noticed a change of attitude in the trio of Afam, Ezeagu and Abagworo. Both Afam and Ezeagu hardly create threads supporting the exclusion of the S/S Igbos from the mainstream Igbo. They no longer want to see the Igbo race in the prism of just the SE Igbo alone, maybe they've smelt the coffee and understood the game of the land hawks. Clearly, you see them come out passionately to defend Igboland both in the NC and SS. What led to this change, you may ask? Because I know it was'nt because of patriots like Andre Uweh, Pazienza, Ogbuefi and others, but because of the attitude of pro-Igbo folks in the S/S (like you Ikechu) who have decided to drown the voices of the denials amongst them, engage the 'we SS renegades' and speak out for their people.
