cheesy

You must be a comedian

Its either you are ignorant of the word of God - the bible - or you were half asleep while typing the above statement
I think you are the joker here. I am fully awake and have the complete knowledge of the word of God. The Roman Catholic Church teaches that God is a spirit. I believe such dictate.

It is herd mentality of the majority.
And majority of Nigerians hate being told the truth of their lies of conceit and deceit.

It has Killed more than That. I sometimes thinks it stunts intelligence, but to those who really understand, it is needed in a society despite its shortcomings.
Very true. When I first became an atheist, I tried my best to let my friends and people around me see that religion was a man made construct and was limiting them. But now, I know religion has its place.

Hee, true. The 'hypocrisy' has become too obvious.

Any religion that professes to be concerned about the souls of men and is not concerned about the slums that damn them, the economic conditions that strangle them and the social conditions that cripple them is a spiritually moribund religion awaiting burial.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

There's a strong wave rising. African 'youths' are fed up of living miserably. They'll start asking questions. They might make mistakes along the way (IPOB). But, in Christian parlance, all these work together for good. They are planting seeds of doubt, questions that desire answers, answers that are no longer being satisfied by sanctimoniously quoting Scripture. I doubt anyone is reading history as much as Africans are. When people begin to 'know' themselves, they will first turn on their religion, especially when 'GOD' begins to feel like a cage that traps the human spirit of freedom.
god didnt trap anybody,it is african that enslave its seft.when reading the history of african slavery i found at that is africa that enslave it seft, our ancient daddies sold 50 people for a mirror, killed twins, carried out human sacrifice, they were superstitous in a babaric manner,so u see the irrationalism was already there, these imported religous just gave us anoda platform.i keep saying it they are christains and muslims in europe and other first world continent but our guillity is just to much.africa surpetition can drive u nut

The hypocrisy starts exactly where the Professor stopped.. You people are the reason why the Professor said what he said and the correction is not coming anytime soon.. You Wanna know why, because next Sunday, you are likely going back to Church or mosque, the two places where these lies and deception are manufactured.

Stay at home like me and this mess halts instantly.

Sharap

How did God and his angels communicate with the people of the God - Adam , Abraham , Jacob , Noah , Ezekiel , Samuel - since you can't hear from a spirit .

Jacob even wrestled with an angel . You should have to discard ludicrous misconceptions which were inculcated in you by the Catholic Church branch of Satan's pet project

Re: Religion Has Killed Rational Thinking Of This Country - Prof. Osundare by Nobody:
The Prof is right. Absolutely right.

Extreme religion and critical thinking can't exist together; the entrance of one must exit the other.

After spending more than a decade being a religious person and not achieving much personal fulfilment, I carefully studied the Bible, especially the Pauline epistles and discovered to my embarrassment, that what's in the Bible us totally different from the one Nigerian churches hammer on. The Bible doesn't in any way excuses man from accepting his full responsibility in gearing his life towards greatness and success.

We have a system that forbids us from questioning or interrogating whatever we believe or see. We are told to swallow all manner of crap without critical thought....and since there's so much poverty in the land, a few persons have offered us a message of hope....and we lost all our sense of human reasoning.

Today, I still a Christian but no more that unthinking, mindless and weak fellow. Whatever the Bible isn't explicit enough, NO ONE can confuse me on it.

Religion and common sense can't go together. And many Nigerians do not have common sense; they believe everything they're told.

Whenever you try to question a system that folks have mindlessly believed for ages, you expect such comments from the foolish adherents.

You're not alone.

This is one of the plagues Yoruba people brought and championed on us.
They built mega churches where they manufacture all sorts of lies and deceptions to people in the name of God.

The other half of them are Muslims who drink beer and womanize..

We will remain the same in Nigeria until. Oyedepo, Adeboye, TB Joshua, Lazarus Muoka, Oyekilome, Kumuyi and others are separated from their blind and gullible fools.

in believing in someone u cant see is not a crime it does not make people irrational,it is the intervention of religion and politics that is the problem,or was le prof calling a no religion community,no it was talking about over religion

Let us be realistic with ourselves,no religious brought bad things for we humans.I mean,no religion encourages bad and evil things. But we humans, turn everything upside down by attaching all sort of evils to religious.I want to let us somethings that,it was through religion we come across God not any of the scientist.which we all know certainly that Our God exists.religion preaches all the following things to us no exploitation:
Existency of God
Angels
Heaven
Hell
Evil people
Good people
Love
Tolerance
Fighting for freedom
Giving alms
Righteousness
Endurane
Patients
Please my fellow brothers,we all know that God exist, either Christians or Muslims,we should not allow any philosophers who does not believes that God exists to lead us astray and make us to be abusing God,what we just need is to be very careful of all the doctring and preaching that we would be hearing from our religious leaders.
Let us tolerate each other, let us be one,let us say no to tribalism, religionlism, let us face the problem together like a bunch of broom.

Do you anybody that has died and has come back to tell you about heaven or hell. You believe something and base your whole life on a concept that has no proof of truth, no "empirical data" as you say and yet you call the prof a fool, who's the real fool?

The biggest problem in Africa is religion and not just religion but the fact that we've adopted an alien religion, so we no longer know who we are as a people. It's all across africa. No country has progressed by adopting another man's religion, because most of religion is culture and you cannot adopt another mans culture or try to be what you are not without problems.

Salvery didnt end when the chains were renoved, the biggest slavery is that which you cant see....the enslavement of the mind. Your mind determines how you think, how you think determines what you do, what you do determines what you become.
