Did u have pour on and are u giving them Amoxycol with Antiviral? Are they doll? If yes to my question give them Amoxicol and Antiviral drugs and poll the pour on power to there house. Note: I hope there cage is large? If not expand it becos they need ventilation and dont pity them saying the cold is much for them. I hope they are upto four-five weeks? Pls are they Battery cage or on floor?
viktor556:
So here's what really went down.

I administered Gumboro on the 2nd week. Lasota a week later. I was supposed to repeat Gumboro the ff week but my birds had issues with Cocci. My DOC was from CHI.

I was using Centre-dicox but no improvement. I switched to Totravet and there was instant result. I was planning to give them Gumboro vaccine the following day, which was on Monday, when Gumboro struck; on Sunday.

So rearing Turkey outside is what you called 'deep litter system'?

It is call 'free roam'

Deep litter system mean rearing of birds on a bed of absorbent materials like wood shaving etc under a close monitoring.

About flooring my farm house.. Consists of three 12*12 and one 14*23ft rooms. Won't be using Stones for the floor because of the cost. Pls what is the best cement to sand ratio to achieve a better mix.

Bros don't look at the cost now look at the overall cost at the longrun . It better its concrete.so as to last.
The 2nd picture u need to put shade in front because of sun. Sun will enter ur pen and it will affect the chicks.

Ok, so I have good news. I got 30 6-week old turkeys today. grin. I'm so happy. My first foray into bird farming. My parents have fully grown turkeys and chickens, so I just took out a section of the farm house to use for my birds.

To recap, they are actually about 7 weeks old. The breeder said she had given anticox. I bought a bag of top feed chick mash, and placed them on antibiotics, will give them multivitamins in 2 days. I will deworm on Saturday.

I will give lasota on January 10, and change to growers mash after they finish this bag of chick mash (mid-January?)

Luckily, we have experienced farm hands which should help a lot.

Any suggestion/advice would be well received. Have a prosperous New Year!!! smiley

P.S.- Attached is a picture of the the breeders stock at her home farm.
Pls where and how much do you get them? if not mind, post the contact of seller, I'm interested.

We are seeking for the services of experienced pen attendants who will rear our 1000 units broiler day old birds to point of sales in our new farm site at Emene in Enugu state. Accommodation will be provided and the salary is competitive with mouth watery incentives. Residence in Enugu is an added advantage. We are also looking for the supply of poultry birds processing equipments either locally fabricated or foreign made. In addition we are looking for partnership with farmers involved in broiler production as we intend buying off their birds at point of maturity at very optimal prices. This would save the farmers the stress of searching for markets for their produce while making substantial profits. Interested Candidates and partners should forward their application and CV where necessary and other relevant documents to integrityfarmsnigeria@yahoo.com
