#1trillion is more than the money they are investigating. How can #1t be part of $2.1b? I am getting confused every day.

At this point, I wish EFCC, DSS and Co good luck in advance.

Relax.2.1 billion dollars is not up to 1 trillion naira.if 2.1 billion dollars was approved for Arms deal, then the one trillion that was found is either not true or there are more looted funds either from power,Inec, rail etc that found its way into their account.

But on a serious note, how can just 4 people pocket N1trillion?... If this is confirmed to be true, these men deserve to be hanged. angry undecided

In the last 5 years, i.e. between 2010 to 2015, Jonathan was forced to budget up to N5 Trillion for defence, yet soldiers complained daily of a lack of common bullets to fight the insurgence. The $2.1billion which was specifically for arming soldiers and which went through Dasuki' office is obviously different from this case; a lot more funds are still yet to be investigated.

I wonder what would happen when the investigations even get to NNPC.

With what funds would they re-build the economy?.... Buhari plans to borrow N1.8trillion to fund the budget, you criticise him for borrowing too much. Now he wants to recover billions of dollars stolen just recently to help buffer the budget, you still criticise him for trying to recover looted funds. So I ask you again, with oil prices now at $31/barrel and the nations forex reserves still plunging further, is it with sand that the economy will be built?

What kind of opposition is this for Christ's sake?... How can any normal human even be opposed to the recovery of stolen funds?

Of course for now it is still Dasukigate alone and you guys are all so opposed to it. Definitely the N1trillion mentioned here is not part of Dasukigate and when investigations for that starts, and also when the investigations for NNPC and Customs etc. starts, you guys will still complain.

How on earth can any normal human even be opposed to the recovery of his/her country's funds?... Is this just a case of someone wishing himself bad and wishing his country bad all because he doesn't like the face of the current ruler?.... What is really going on for Christ's sake? undecided

so its only through those recovered funds from dasuki gates that he will be able to build our economy?
What happened to our Agricultural sector? this man is a farmer? what has he done about it,,,, is. it that there is no money in the government account for him to use to implement Agricultural programs for youth and farmers in Nigeria.....if he should try Agriculture he will recover all this loot recovery in just a little period .

So u Nigerians should stop putting all your eggs in one basket,,,recover sure but also do some other things to yield success ....after all this administration right from day one has always been known for digging past event. We need productive things for now through various sectors

nobody is against recovering looted funds.

What are you talking about?... and who told you some other things are not being done?... do you want the president to carry a hoe and start tilling the soil personally before you agree that something else is currently being done in other sectors?...

What exactly do you mean by, "if he should try Agriculture he will recover all this loot in just a little period"?.. Can you plant a tree and expect it to grow and fetch you instant millions in one year?... Agriculture is a process which involves patience, lots of patience before you can reap its benefits. Same as almost every other sector. You cannot expect the leadership of a cash-trapped nation to just sit back patiently while people go hungry all because they are waiting for trees to grow, meanwhile there's lots of looted moneys that can actually be recovered quickly to feed the hunger of the people for development. Already about N350 billion was included in the 2016 budget as recovered funds, is that the kind of moneys you want the nation to forfeit because you think money can also be made from farming?...

How can you hate and oppose the progress of you own country all because you think you are protecting the interests of some politicians you love?.. politicians that don't even know or care about you.

Dwindling oil revenue all over the world. If you do not notice, the new forex currency policy is to ensure that some of the yam eaters go after the naira with their hidden dollars. They cannot take it on them it will be seized at the airport in Nigeria or abroad. looted funds is a revenue line to revive the economy killed by PDP and dwindling oil revenue, we get the money from them we continue the revival cool. Are you happy now that we have converted stolen fund to what it should be-revenue for making the economy strong?
