I am no economist but I heard China is suffering some economic conundrums as big as it is. The dwindling price of crude has affected many countries with Saudi Arabia, Venezuela etc facing bleak future...... Does it occure to you lots that with the present realities, Nigeria will not move economically as we expected it to.....knowing fully that the Gov't is in a transitional phase with monumental corruption recorded in all sectors from the last administration...and we all know corruption is still fighting back.....give this Gov't a break and judge it when everything stablize...

@bolded shows how myopic your post is. Never knew it takes turns for tribes to produce ministers in ministry of finance. Yorubas and Igbos are really making it very difficult for sincere comments to be made.

Like her predecessor, Kemi Adeosun is the Federal Minister of Finance and will be put to public scrutiny by all Nigerians if her economic policies do not reflect positively on the wellbeing of Nigerians. Wether shes your cousin or aunt or whatever emotional attachment you have does not concern us. She is appointed to serve all. Finance minister of Nigeria isnt the same as Finance commissioner of Ogun state.

I believe she can't work magic overnight and should be given time to access her performance. but the OP is also right to say his opinion as he sees it.

If I recall correctly we recently had a so called world renowned economist in the person of mrs ngozi okonjo iweala who served as minister of finance for close to five years and AT A TIME WHEN OIL WAS AT ITS PEAK, but she was unable to make any positive impact on the Nigerian economy.

Many of you worship her, but here we have someone who has barely spent 7 months you all are expecting her to perform magic just because she is not from tour corner of the country.

You guys never cease to amuse me. I have not said anything about her tribe or where she came from, all I said is having. the requisite know-how the big heart and the midas touch. I personally don't care from where any govt official comes from but I'm more concerned what the person can do. This is not the time for fielding sister, girlfriend or quota or even political settlement. If Nigeria must survive then we must shun all this tribalism and bring our best brains our tested hands to do the job. it doesn't matter from where the person comes as long as he/she can deliver. PMB at this stage in life owes Nigeria that if he cannot do that will be a great disservice. He has the golden opportunity to be the hero of our time. Engage able bodied and competent youths let us help him to write his name in gold, but if he succumbs to the gullible old crooks that have wrecked our country he too will go down the dustbin of history like the other ones.

The Op is the tribal bigot. Ask him how many times has he criticized Noi? I did that based on my observations of current realities and only also suggested who I think might be considered. Didn't think about anyone's tribe.

But if you say I'm Igbo because I aired my views, well I can't make you believe otherwise.
