The singer released a statement on Thursday to People magazine which read: 'Rene Angelil, 73, passed away this morning as his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer.

'The family requests that their privacy be respected at the moment; more details will be provided at a later time.'
In August, Dion revealed her husband's final wish was to be with the singer when he passed away.

Recalling their conversation, she said: 'I'll say, 'You're scared? I understand. Talk to me about it.'

Learn to respect the Nigerian women. You can't stay in Ajegunle or Mushin and condemn Nigerian women based on your experience there. Try a change of environment to experience greater qualities of most Nigerian women.
