The problem I have with our youths coz I believe our parents can't be here just we the youths is misunderstanding, that's why we regret atimes things we do. If ibori was good to our past head of states he wouldn't have unanimously be convicted. We have to wake up coz this country now is in our hands for the betterment of our own kids, grandkids etc.

The must loved politicians in Delta? Maybe the Deltans need re-orientation
They need more than reorientation; speaking based on what I've seen here meanwhile the said Okowa should facilitate payment of Corps members, it's over 8 months already and we are yet to see a naira.

Can someone explain to me the rationale behind his release of 13yrs sentence in 2016 from 2012.

Prison days are different from ours... morning 1 day night another day...

That's 2 days in one x the number of years.

2010- 2016. That's 6 years.

X 2 = 12 years + fews months he'll spend =13 years.

Pardon my poor maths. grin

How is 2012 + 13 = 2016 kwanu? That's the part I'm still finding difficult to comprehend.

In these countries when you serve a portio of your sentence and you are of good behaviour while in prison you can be released on parole to complete the rest. However when you are out on parole you must equally be of good behaviour or else you will sent back to jail to complete the rest of your sentence. Also you must be under the jurisdiction of the Court that sentenced you and a parole officer attached to you. Iam not sure if Ibori will be allowed to travel out of UK as he is only being released on parole and his passport is already seized. However an agreement might be reached where he will be deported to Nigeria to face other criminal prosecutions that may await him

U are a yoruba man so u know nothing about delta. There is a reason IBORI is loved by the grass roots and even political elite in delta state and the Niger delta at large.

There is somrthing called prisoner swaps between sovereign nations. Ibori is a high target criminal who looted the State. Im not sure but I suspect he is being swapped for a Briton in Nigerian jail. If thats the case, he will spend the rest of the sentence in his home country, Nigeria. So law enforcement will be waiting for him on arrival for forward transfer to prison for the remaining 9yrs of his sentence abroad. If EFCC reopen his case and he is tried and found guilty the judge might add more years to run concurrently or give recognition and commute his sentence to time served.
prison count day and night. As two days

6and half years in our normal calendar is 13years in prison.

Ibori is an overlord and kingmaker in Delta, you can keep your rants to yourself.
A proven treasury looter as a kingmaker. Tompolo, a known Militant also made the present governor who is he today. No wonder, mere ex local government chairman in person of Baro could singlehandedly held Warri hostage with the help of his United group harassed the whole police men and looting of Shoprite .Warri, a laughing stock, simply because the leadership of the place is in the hand of militants. Thank me later.

Nigerians can be so dishonest with themselves it's sickening.
WHICH GOVERNOR FOR 1999 TO 2007 DID NOT STEAL?
Let's try and be honest for once.
Have u been to delta state? IBORI did quite a lot as governor.
THE REASON HE WAS SINGLED OUT WAS HIS FIGHT FOR RESOURCE CONTROL!

What do you mean he is a wounded man? How wounded was he when he was pocketing Billions of Dollars of Delta state people's Oil money?

Nigerians have a way of celebrating criminals. That's why a thief like Bode George got a huge party home coming party on his release from jail, that's why a genocidal killer like Murtala Mohammed is on the N20 note and that's why the ones in power are stealing the people blind

I say you need your head examined. No matter the tribe or alien planet he emerged from, he is a convicted criminal. No sane person celebrates criminals.

I'll say the same if he were Yoruba. Heck! Bode George is a classical example of such a person in the SW. He's celebrated and loved by no other than PDP thieves.

He is just a thief, nothing more. I wonder how Africans and Nigerians think, someone stole billions of Naira belonging to the poorest set of people in the world and those same people don't see how grave and inhuman that is. I don't blame many of these people, the don't understand how a human being should live.
My brother they celebrate known criminals in that part of country,Warri. I stayed in Warri for good 8yrs. Its a place where looters are being celebrated.A place where a Militant can hold hold the whole community ransom and government will come to celebrate him.Tompolo who claimed to have graduated from Abraka few yrs ago was a pain in the neck of the lectures while he was in the school.
