Nigerians will see blue and recognize that it is blue but call it orange and stubbornly stick to their conceit.

Same way Alams was celebrated by his people upon his release.

We are no different from our lawless policemen who tell and uphold lies at every opportunity. I now believe that Nigerians are not ready to make this country great. We seem to love the bad reputation we have.

Ibori is an overlord and kingmaker in Delta, you can keep your rants to yourself.

You can call him a "kingmaker or lord", the truth still remains that he is a criminal. A man who embezzled public funds. We celebrate mediocrity in this country and that's the sad truth.

Have u been to delta state? IBORI did quite a lot as governor.
THE REASON HE WAS SINGLED OUT WAS HIS FIGHT FOR RESOURCE CONTROL!
How could his fight for resource control led to his arrest in UK . May God help these youths of this great Nation .

Ibori is probably Delta's most loved politician.

Only in Nigeria!

Where people celebrate those who murder their children's future!
grin grin

Let him just be reminded that a New Sheriff is in town right now.

Since he has been convicted in the UK, of STEALING MONEY BELONGING TO NIGERIA, EFCC should also use that to convict him here and send him back to prison, where he belongs. ALl his identifiable Assets should also be traced and seized, as proceeds of criminal acts

That Newspaper he resuscitated is what he intends to use for his Propaganda! Not surprising, all criminal Politician ALWAYS try to own a Newspaper

When you convicted of a crime in another country.
On completion of the sentence, YOU are DEPORTED back to your country, in this case. Ibori will be forcefully kept in a plane and flown back to Nigeria.

He cannot tell the British authorities, I want to go to Dubai or the Caribbean.

In addition, he can kiss ever visiting USA and other Western nations goodbye, till his death. He will not be issued Visa.
The truth is Ibori has been reduced despite all the noise his supporters will make here or offline.

A lesson to others. cool

Na story U dey find.d best governor Delta state ever had remains Ibori.take dat to d bank.He is so loved by us.during his tenure he worked his socks off and gave d state a facelift which his successors failed to build on.he dualised roads,he build bridges thru d riverine areas to connect over a 100 villages.e be like u nor know say na canoe be those pipo major transport.wit Ibori all dat changed.d welcome Ibori will get will make d likes of u feel it's a rented crowd.u'l be forced to pause and say,'e be like say dis ibori na beta leader o! there was a scape goat just like there was a country.he neva wanted Jonathan as yar'ardua successor and dats why his problems got heavier.if u think ur local government chairman doesnt steal,u're only deceiving urself.one Godfather gets 10% of every N20bn of Lagos state money and he is walking freely.leave all those story.

Funny enough, the tribalistic hypocrites will come on here and say, "that part of the country needs reorientation"

Obviously, they are loving this and one would think that maybe the "other parts" of the country are so well developed, with fresh roads, lane markings, traffic lights, running water, 24/7 light, brilliant school infrastructure....

...but, we all know that the whole Nigeria is one big shhhithole, so what are we talking about

Is it just Delta that is celebrating criminals, or is it the whole Nigeria

Is Ibadan like London, New York

Is Kano like London, New York

Hypocrites everywhere.

Yet they won't see a thing wrong in Fashola spending 78 million on a freaking personal, plain, brochure, amateurish website, no no no...

They won't see anything wrong with tolling a road ppl were already using to go home peacefully, even if the road hasn't been finished.

They won't see anything wrong with their godfathers, kingmakers, tinubu n all...

no, they'd just use this opportunity to bash a section of Nigeria forgetting everywhere is a big smelly shhhhithole

Fvck this country

I don't think you understood his point, he isn't praising him but he is telling you the fact, do you know ibori from his London prison makes video conferencing with all political stalwart in pdp, he single handedly installed okowa when the elumelus and the likes wanted to outsmart him, okowa immediately informed him of the development and he quickly ordered them to stick with his choice. If he isn't relevant why will they obey him? Even the daughter was chosen over others. Ibori mind you was an abachas boy.

He was arrested in 2010, hence his sentence periods begins to count from the day of arrest. A prison day is equivalent to a morning,2prison days is a night and a morning, therefore, 12yrs equals 6normal years.

Over there in UK and USA, once convicted, your time starts counting from when your trial starts and also 1DAY counts as 2(12hours for a day). So from 2010-2016 equals 13yrs.

In the UK, every 6months is counted as 1 year in jail, so Ibori has spent 13years in prison in our normal 6 year calendar. I.e ....the last 6 months....completed his 13th year in jail.

MayorofLagos:

There is somrthing called prisoner swaps between sovereign nations. Ibori is a high target criminal who looted the State. Im not sure but I suspect he is being swapped for a Briton in Nigerian jail. If thats the case, he will spend the rest of the sentence in his home country, Nigeria. So law enforcement will be waiting for him on arrival for forward transfer to prison for the remaining 9yrs of his sentence abroad. If EFCC reopen his case and he is tried and found guilty the judge might add more years to run concurrently or give recognition and commute his sentence to time served.
