This title is misleading, 0.0% of Icelanders believe that the world was created in 6 days. That doesn't mean that they don't believe that God created the world. It just means that there aren't Young Earth Creationists in the country.

They wouldn't believe in things like bible which have been proven to be false by their own European scholars and researchers like Dr Bart Erhman (the single greatest biblical scholar alive today. Only man to have read ALL of the biblical texts available to humanity. He spend 30 years of his life studying ancient and new biblical texts as a christian scholar. Actually , researches say atheism will plummet , for obvious reasons . While Islam will become a religion with the most adherents . I hope you know that irreligiosity isn't atheism . Most Europeans gradually become deists without even knowing it

Personally I believe that the bible supports the young earth creationists view. Old earth creationist view came into play because modern day christians want the bible to agree with scientific findings.

Science makes anybody understand their holy books better. be it from islam, hinduism . . . no matter what your religion is, you can use science to "explain." it. so, stop being self centered and admit the whole truth.

They rationalize this by pointing out that the people of Iceland will just have to burn in hell for their unbelief.

even though their society is pretty okay now. despite their unbelief.

they unwittingly give the impression that their God doesn't care about Good and evil. that he cares about himself. and the torment of every being that is either neutral or opposing to him.
they then claim is a Good God. leaving people like to briefly smile and go back to doing other things.
