When a famous person identifies with genuine cases of the human condition, it bolsters their images more than the latest instagram showing off yet one more new car acquisition.

Even the business companies are not exempt in their wanton abandonment of their corporate social responsibility. Instead of promoting themselves by publicly assisting IDPs, they'd rather spend hundreds of millions giving out cars to the lazy "celebs", thus enabling their ego and show-offiness.

And who says an entertainer can't be a philanthropist? Most of the Hollywood stars are philanthropists. They always give to charity and help human causes. Angelina Jolie goes all over Africa helping poor people and adopting kids. Bono is now more famous for championing Africa than U2. Just about every celebrity in Hollywood has given to charity. And we all know our entertainment industry is modeled along the American model (heck, they even go to texas to give themselves awards).

It's a voluntary thing and it adds to the image of the celeb.

But since you're such a cold hearted bastard to say the IDPs deserve their fates, arguing with myself is far more productive than talking with you.
