For UK and America if you have about 500k to 700k you can have a sweet vacation. For Kenya and Ethiopia at least 250k to 350k will do a whole lot for a splendid vacation.

Note that this stated amount will cover to & fro transport, accommodation and feeding but depending on your duration of stay. Life outside the shores of this our country when you are going somewhere legally and not to hustle carelessly.

Yes sure, but there are a lot out there with physical offices and good reputation. All you need to do is go to their office and and just make enquiry. By doing this you will eventually get even more information than am giving and you might even get to see more travel deals on discount.

Just ensure that you are sure of the agency you are dealing with and if you are not comfortable at any point please don't even bother paying them a dime.

1$ = around 200 naira but 21 ETB

you can get houses for rent from many many individuals. but to find good quality, there are real states, new made also recently tsehay real state which is really good. i think their cost is more reasonable than the other real states. good apartments. but u can also try guesthouses. there are lots and they are fine. piazza, 22, cazzanchis, and etc....are the most active places in addis.

SAFETY FOR FOREIGNERS. . .. very very safe. there might be pick pockets, but it's a city where bank have never been robbed, free from terror, even when you walk in another African cities, u try to hide ur cellphone not to be forced to be taken from u, and here, we walk holding our phones everywhere. none of the theifs have force.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
there are lotttts of mini buses, big bases and a modern simple rail way operating only in the city. but still, cuz of the big population of the city, transportation problem couldn't be solved. the government is saying, there will be addition of trains so soon, i don't know if it's possible.

Not much because l do not always get to move around as it is straight from Bole International Airport straight to my lodging. work indoors and head back to the Airport. If it is Nairobi which is my base, l can say much.
