It's Best You get Acquainted with her on threads for instance? make her know You...try to get Friendly n tease a Little.. that way, You'd get her attention.. (I.e She'd know Your Moniker)..
So, whenever U send a PM? she'd recognise the moniker and rep!y Almost immediately..

Sigh. You guys will never learn. Don't send a PM to a Nairalander who doesn't know you or who isn't friendly with you on Nairaland. What you guys don't understand is that there are over 100 other guys sending her these same random PMs and she will ignore you along with the rest. You don't just expect her to reply every PM she gets.You have to give her a reason to want to reply that PM.

With the way Nairaland personal messaging feature is programmed, you have to follow someone and the person has to follow you back first before you the person will be able to see your message. If the person isn't following you, all the person will see is "Mr A" wants to send you a message. And the person would have to reply that default alert first, before you guys can begin to chat through email. So, it's better that if you want to send PMs, send it to those you are following and who are following you back.

And on the issue of replying your quotes. I don't blame some girls for refusing to reply some mentions because some guys quote with the most ridiculous of phrases.
Sometimes you see someone quote a girl with phrases like "Hi girl how was your night?" someone who he hasn't talked to before. Or you see someone quote a girl with "You look pretty can I be your friend?"

Most times when I see these phrases, I just laugh, because definitely no girl would reply those kind of mentions.

This is a forum. All sorts of discussions go on almost every thread. If you have a crush on someone, or you like someone, why don't you just engage her in a discussion or mild argument, which is in line with the subject matter of the thread, that way, you guys can converse and even deviate a bit if the conversation is interesting. From there on you can quote her on different instances, then you guys will become friends, then you can send her a PM. If she sees your PM, she would definitely reply, because she knows you and sees you as a friend.
That's the smart way to do things.
