Typical above everyone attitude that led you to change your moniker several times to hide face after embarassing yourself that many times.

You cannot push me to give you the code, you can only ask politely and i will get it for you.

I only respect you because from your history you should be as old as my father. I guess we Nigerians have respect for elders by default, that makes you above me. Happy

Not Common. The US doors are pre-drilled and most US hardwares fit those doors but they are different from the one I see in Nigeria. I am not sure it will work.

I intend to import my internal doors from the US so that I can use the US locks. I love those black hardwares.

Thanks, that's what I thought.

I want to support the local guys so I'll bring a set of US locks and have them use it as a template.

I was going to import a lot of stuff but my new idol, Mr. Strive Masiyiwa, has made me see the folly in that as an African.

You can get good stuff locally. If you factored the cost of shipping alone these days (unlike 3 - 4 years ago), you will want to do things locally.
I can help you take some locks set to Naija if you don't mind. So that it can be used as a template to drill the door. I changed a whole house from stainless to black hardware and they all brand new. In fact, I will use your idea there.

I'll be home in about a month so I'll bring them at that time.

I've also seen a metal box that can be welded in and holds the locksets. Looking for that too.

Folks I am in the same boat with Befto with respect to my project. I have made up my mind to combine POP, ceiling screeding with cornices for the ground floor. And also combine POP and PVC for the first floor. However I just got a new idea but I am not sure if anybody have used this is naija before. In my present house my ground floor ceiling was done using what my builder called knockdown paint. It is a powdery paint that is water based. It is normally prayed on smoothly finished ceiling surface. See some of the pictures attached. This is the ground floor ceiling for my present house. Please can I get this in Lagos? Do we have artisans who know how to do this in Lagos?
Guys any thoughts on these? I am actually planning to buy some bags of this powdery paints and bring them to naija for a trial but if it is available in Lagos can somebody let me know?
Thanks

It will be very beneficial for those of us who cannot go there at present.

It does not apply to me in anyway because for starters, l am not in your League ....in "real life" but that is something l like to downplay since we are all anonymous on the forum.

Secondly, you might come here to run your mouth about California and do some "copy and paste" in order to impress some folks here but for someone like me, l have "seen you through and seen through you"! Just looking at your project, shows the level of your pocket and l can tell you man, you are way far-far below. Maybe tomorrow, you will be on-top, Nobody knows but please, stop 'forming'!

All those "phantom ideas" you copy and paste here, we both know you cant afford them as of today.... and that tells me (while looking at what you can afford) that you are just one "struggler" hopping from one pay-check to another, in the U.S.

Even in the U.S, we both know there are "levels" .....and you dont belong at all, using any yardstick of measure! You cant even afford an Engineer (even in Advisory role!) nor can you even buy the best of materials for that you tiny little project... despite all your "copy and paste" of the best of things, from the internet! grin grin
So where is your 'hype and swagger' going to come from, ........that gives you the effrontery to be rude, arrogant and insulting to everyone here like you are 'somebody of value'?

I just laugh each time l see you 'forming' in your post, like you are 'somebody' in America.... with enough Dollars to build a Mansion in six months! grin grin

I hate to write things like this but its your type that puts his finger into one's mouth, that brings such words out, as you need to be brought down to reality. I wont say more than this as l dont want to take it personal. undecided
I have said my mind and l have no intention of throwing brick-bracks with you but God forbid that l will boast (as l have nothing that is not of God) but please, do me a favour and stop being an eegit!

BTW: I have a family (wife and children), l am very fit, as l am into sports (swimming, biking, "mature-men" football and indoor aerobics) and if we look at it, you are the one that needs to get a new wife, after the last one left your broke azz, Nigga! undecided

I went for 0.45mm Aluminium step tiles which they sold for N1,200/m and 0.45mm flat sheet which they sold for N1,100/m.

When I get there tomorrow, I will ask for their complete price list.

There are various designs but one from this site should serve the purpose I envision.

I just need the Nigerian door maker (I'm sure he'll call himself an Engineer wink ) to just design one of this bracket into the exterior doors of which I have three.

Then I am sure that ANY USA lock will install and work well with it.

Why is everyone going home in about a month lol? Even 3strike will be home too.

Some of the lockset do not have keys or locks especially for pantry or closets. Some do have keys.

I think it will be made on the Aluminium seller's site and transported to the Client site... that is the usual way.

Why is 0.45mm Aluminium step tiles not suitable for residential roofing?
What effects are you referring to?
What about 0.45mm Metcoppo?
Please share any negative experience.

I go home every March and Sept and sometimes I'm able to throw in a trip or two in between.

Have yo also considered barn doors for interior doors? They save tons of space. Pocket doors would be ideal but difficult to work into concrete walls.

I can't say all here. Its best u use 0.45mm Long span than 0.45mm Metcop and steptile..Due to d machine design on thin layer of 0.45 causes damages due time

I thought so too.. we had this discussion with Spyder many years ago.
I have always been bothered about leaking in the area that is being perforated/bent with Step tiles and Metcoppo.
And that is why I have always used 0.55 Long span in all my projects.
Although we can never agree on the effect of this in the long run...

Speaking from experience. I think u do see the tag " Roof leakage" around Lagos. Too much wind, rain and old age affect them. I recommend 0.45mm Longspand Only ( The manufacturer this days hav reduced the gauge due to cost) Just like the stone coated our pple called 0.55mm of the range u buy are not even up 0.43mm. If am lie, try contact the Chinese coy that made it. TheY tell de true, even gave 30yrs warranty. But our seller take it to 50yrs. Just to com petite with ( WICHTECH, BATLAN, FEROOF, ROSER, TILCOR AND METRO TILES) u MUST KNW WHAT U WANT
