Have you finished?I thank God you did not call him a dictator. You said he encourage corruption, did he also promote it like appointing corrupt Ameachi, Fashola and others ministers? Was he also on a revenge mission like your born -to- rule hero who is busy avenging people instead of governance? As for spitting on him, i'm not surprise because I'm told that is how you did to your late father and he cursed you.Mind you the curse has stick because you will also spit to your generation and generation yet unborn.Even your bubu who claims to be fighting 'kworuption', i know you will also spit on him at the end of 4 years when he must have dealt (revenge) your people for making him failed 3 previous elections! son of a bitch! focus7: |

To me,these people are not fighting for Jonathan nor Buhari, this is simply a gang up against a clever mind by group of young writers that will never be nominated not to talk of winning the kind of awards Tolu has. |

Does the author of this useless piece of crap know what an editorial is? It is a piece written by a MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF EDITORS. When they say we aren't too bright now, we will be vexing. We have just displayed our illiteracy to a global audience. |

ochejoseph:Talk about over reaching. I have said worse about GEJ, Reno, Abati and Okupe. Am I also a co-author of AN EDITORIAL BY A FOREIGN NEWS MEDIA? Or that privilege is reserved for only high profile names? So not tweeting for a certain amount of time regardless of his circumstances is a sure sign of guilt ba? Such stellar detective work. Go join the Nigerian Police. Your deductive skills will be appreciated |

I can see here that a good number of people here don't know jack about The Economist. The Economist has a policy, which is more than 70 years old, of not publishing the name of their writers. It did not start today, it did not start yesterday. It is more than 50 years old. So perish the thought that someone has to hide before insulting GEJ. This policy of not naming their writer has been there even before GEJ was born. I know Tolu and have followed him for years. While I think he's the most gifted under-35 essay writer in Nigeria, and one of the very few journalists of international standing from Nigeria, I seriously doubt he was the one that wrote that piece. Every article by The Economist is like an editorial. It's their official position. That article has too much of the touch of The Economist's traditional style for me to agree that it was not written by their correspondent, who is likely a foreigner, maybe their West African correspondent. I see this as another weak attempt by the wailers to forcefully put a Nigerian scapegoat to the article. |
