I actually intended to post this in my diary but then, I want to sample a lotta opinions.

What brought about this thought is the near- obsession with macho sex in this age.
Turn on just about any radio station and you will hear them: explicit songs about how today's men and woman supposedly want sex: Quick and dirty. Fast and hot. No strings attached. Hit-and-run.

I do not even want to ask what is behind this trend.

Some of the people who approve of this say relationships are not that important. (I'm independent and secure) They also try not to admit how lonely they are. Sex is often a by-product of some other need e.g a desire for intimacy and macho sex can never fulfil that need. Why? Experts say because its primary - usually only- goal is self-satisfaction.

I personally feel macho sex is so demeaning and unfulfilling. It leaves one emotionally empty.
I've asked a couple of people offline and a lot of them seem to be in favour of true intimacy (I.e before they want to see or be seen by anyone 'in the raw", they prefer to be both friends and lovers).

So to you guys now: True intimacy or macho sex, which is more fulfilling??

It just depends.

Sometimes you just feel like getting things done quickly without attaching emotions and some other times you just feel like taking it slow.

Even with his girlfriend a man can still be macho.

But when it comes to the one preferred the most I'll say majority of guys if not all will prefer the rough macho sex while girls usually like it slow.

I'll have to go with naijaboiy . Sometimes we feel the urge to go rush rush like indomie especially when it's something stolen, but in this day and age where New stds are springing up by the day, true intimacy is my best bet.

I go with true intimacy. Yea, there could be times when one just wants it sharp sharp but that's quite risky as highlighted by KingTom. I think the quality of your persona has a lot to say here. An emotionally stable guy won't just dig any vj that comes his way.

I just don't like the idea of not being sincere to ourselves. Now, this is not about you. I'm not trying to call you out but: haven't you experince a kind of sex (dont want want to use the word 'macho') resulting from just 'ordinary' likeness for some or a particular trait possessed by the other gender? Hmm? Humour being one. I'm not gunning for mahco sex, infact i wouldn't have comment had i not seen your reply to OP. But, i tell you most or even all girl at some point in their lives have had 'whatever sex' with a guy with not even a single emotion attached! You dont plan it, it just happens. Now, tell me that's not true.
