The most cumbersome part of this is that, the banks are the one pushing for it and not CBN. This will make it more difficult. If CBN says they are not banning this thing and the banks keep telling us no forex story, what can we do?

Hello house.! I have being searching the internet to see where one(those from a poor home) could study for a master program with little or zero tuition fee. Germany met my searched request. Course of study @master level is Telecom and I really want to meet my dreams of becoming a real and practical Telecom Engineer in an advance Tech environment like Germany. I have gone through DAAD.de for scholarship tips but not still satisfied.
My questions now are:
(1) what should one budget for in 'naira' to study a master program in German tuition free University?
(2)what are the requirement for master program because I graduated with a 2:2(Elect/Elect)?
(3) what are those necessary steps do one need as a fresher in search for masters program in a German institution?
(4) what are the documents needed?
(5) which forum or thread on nairaland should one cling to for up to date information?
General opinion, answers and advice are welcome.

1) There is no fixed or exact amount of money for this transaction. The known fixed amount in this process is the required (8040euro) for block account which is required before visa can be issued.Application fee,dhl cost etc varies.
2) With good motivational letter,Toefl or Ielts,Great german styled cv,University transcript,Barchelor certificate,Recommendation letter etc.
3)Admission process varies from school to school.check individual school for steps involve.

There is nothing really great about the german styled CV. Just google, EU CV format or Table CV. Its just a form of CV but with roughly same content as the normal one you have. If the school doesn't like your CV format, they will ask you to send another one.

I guess if requested by the school? The one I wish to apply to replied this after mailing them:

Send along with the application form certified copies of your school
certificates, of your university's entrance examination (if you had to pass one), of your Bachelor`s Degree certificate, of the transcripts for each semester including the grading system and degree requirements, and evidence of your English proficiency, like TOEIC (score at least 620), TOEFL (internet based score at least 87, paper based 567)or IELTS (at least 6.0) or an attestation that you have already studied in English. The Bachelor`s Degree has to have an above-average final grade. If you have earned additional degrees, please send evidence, too.

And pls do you know what they mean by University entrance examination certificate? I'm applying for MSc Chemical eng.
Thanks in advance.

Are you with a public insurance, call or send them a mail, they will give you your social security number. They might tender a letter addressing your employer with it.
For your tax ID, go to the auslander where you did your city registration. Normally, they send this as a letter to you but if you didn't receive it, as in my case, they can print another one for you at their office. You might part with a small amount though.

Your SSCE certs, JAMB (or what do you call it now). However, in the true sense of things, this do not correspond to the UEQ in German unis. If you were applying for a Bsc, a year one transcript or HND will only be equivalent to a German UEQ but in this case, the first two mentioned should do the job for record sake.

And so after the whole shivering sinz the bankers commitee had their meeting last Saturday,I hv spend more tym thinking y I was born in Nigeria,I then realize that much thinking won't help matters.
I travelled to PH today to enquire how students can nw pay their fees

1)i meet the customer care @ UBA,told her I needed form A for school fees, she dropped a bomb that sank straight to my hypothalamus"student can no longer use the form A for payment of school fees.twas so disappointing and I started throwing her questions as thus
.......how can we then pay our fees?
(u need to open a a dorm account and transfer the fund) she replied
',......whr do we get the euro from?
(go to black market she replied)
so I told her that I actually want to rellocate to Ghana and see if I could do any transaction there.
she told me that I can't access my Nigerian account in Ghana.....mehn I was almost crazy coz that was the option I had.

I went to Skye bank with my cousin who actually has a joint current n dorm account with them
I started agn with my question

me:sir please I want to make an enquiry about form A.
Banker:alrytvwat do u want to do?
me;I wanna pay school fees
banker :we don't hv d form now in the bank
me:sorry sir,I had cbn has banned form A transaction for payment of school fees.is that true?
banker:let me inquire from int'l fund transfer unit in our head office.
after five minute,he confirmed that it hasn't been banned yet officially.
that was my xperience

UBA told me the same thing today, they said they hv suspended it advising me to open a dorm acct. Then I went to access bank nd they say said they can do it but the form is not available atm in the branch. So I think some other banks can still mk the transfer since it's not yet official

Bankers committee is the measure problem here, CBN did want to ban form A, but bankers committee are pushing desperately on CBN to ban it,after their meeting they unanimously agreed to stop the use of form A, they are just waiting for CBN to include it on the 41 list of prohibited items that cannot access form A.

This is a country i was kinda considering to go back and make things better the little way i can. The facilities in the country is zero for education and am sure those already studying abroad can testify to it. We gather our 1kobo to finance our study abroad to help ourselves compete with other students around the world, we didn't ask the country for any kobo for support or probably they think if Nigeria was good, we will all be running out to study? At the end of the day only the poor will struggle because no matter how the exchange rate increases those criminals will still buy to send their children abroad. They will still carry large sums in foreign currencies for their medical care or they want to tell us someone who has not eaten a good meal will even pay for medical bills abroad? Na still them them day go abroad for medical treatment. Sometimes i wonder who is making all this policies and you want to tell me the current government is not corrupt. i day vex and boil at the moment because that country will never change let us all stop deceiving ourselves.

I have the master cards of two banks gtb and union bank. The rate is crazy, the last time I tried it for someone here. I lost, because it was higher than I anticipated, my advice is start searching for the euro from the black market in Nigeria and start real quick, because I smell doom, the rate is going higher in the second. Our president can't read, even the summary of the budget he could not read, I am ashamed of my country.
