In a nutshell, you mean to say the the materials, components and parts of the Innosson vehicles are not made in Nigeria. It is the labour and other associated overheads incured during assembling that you refer to as the 10%.

If that is the case, It is better to have Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Volkswagen and others assembling their vehicles in Nigeria to meet demand in Nigeria. This Innosson vehicle is a waste of my hard earned money. I will get better value for my money with Ford, Kia, Hyundai, Nissan or better still, Toyota (Good thinking, good product).

This Innoson man is doing sympathy marketing like he is an INNOcent SON of the 'zoo'. I will like to see the percentage of his car parts that are manufactured in Nigeria. Imagine using 100 local hands to assemble parts manufactured by some 5000 hands and calling it local.

have be able to give me any evidence of high local contents in Innocon vehicle. All we have is abuse and name calling. I expected some pixs of these numerous manufacturing units at least.

My point was to highlight the flaw in this model of manufacturing whereby it favours the foreign market and the assembly plant owner most( 95% in my opinion) than it helps the economy. Innoson aggressive marketing on the premise that its cars are locally manufactured is technically wrong. The level of expertise and labour put into the final product by local hands is less than 5%. That's employing foreigner at the expense of local. Most people support him becos of the Glory it brings to their tribe.
Only obstead200 seem to be understanding me.

Go and do your research because it's the only thing that you need to wise up. The same applies in the aviation and marine industry. I have not seen a company that manufactures ALL the parts required in the production process, be it Mercedes, Benz, Daimeller, BMW, Toyota.

Don't be surprised how I group my first 3 companies. They are 3 different companies that amalgamated because of some economic reasons etc. Do your research.

Sorry, no car manufacturer produces everything locally! Local content 50% is a massive plus however, localizing the manufacturing or assemblage is always a plus.
IVM must be applauded and patronized as a way forward. If we keep going at the pace of IVM on all value chain activities, we will soonn get there. Crawl before walk then run before flying!
