I dunno exactly why I'm quoting you, but something about your personality and how you view life in general endears you to me.

Look at what you typed there: "it'll be boring." I'm very sure a lot of people have told you how very boring your life is and how you need to socialize more and all that.. Trust me, I get that all the time. I am a deep Introvert. I could stay indoors all day just reading novels, most of which challenge my philosophy about life.
How do I put this.. I AVOID PEOPLE!! You know the normal wait around and have the normal chit-chat, I don't do that. I prefer to hurry up to my room after class and lie down on my bed, mostly doing nothing.
This is very weird, and I have already learnt to 'handle' the situation when people come pointing out this fact.
You're not alone bro, and you're not missing out from relationships. Imagine having to help your girlfriend countdown to her time of the month cos you two had unprotected sex- the trauma and all that- it's not worth it.

30's Haba. Is this the new school age,like 36 and you're still single. 30 is ok and not late 30's I think. I don't mean to be harsh but you're insinuating he flirts till he's in his thirties; in other words do not take any relationship serious till you turn 30. By That time he'll be or might be the desperate party o & end up settling for something horrible

It would make sense @ 30 you say; you are looking at this from just a Nigerian perspective, if you were to be open minded enough and maybe lived in more exposed environment like the US, UK and other countries of like nature where marriage, kids and religion are not the ultimate achievements like it is over here, you would maybe understand him a lil better, OP is perfectly normal tho all he just stated about his state of mind seems odd to most, i have had those thoughts too once but the difference here is that, family and sibling won't give you romance, occasional sex or fun activities that friends can give.

Most Nigerians see dating as a must and sex and virginity as very big deals, 1st of all virginity is only a big deal when u are ruled by religion, morally it's all right but that's where it ends, sex is over rated, it is a cool way to cool off steam, relax the nerves and more, RELATIONSHIPS ARE NOT A MUST, everything seem to be about boyfriend and girlfriend, sex and more, a girl says she is bored or spending val at home, guys naturally think of no bf, heartbreak and sex, i think OP expressing himself is a breath of fresh air here on nairaland.

I'm not insinuating anything. If having a relationship now is pointless to him..its totally understandable. His priorities now have nuttn to do wit commitment of any sort . 30s starts from 30. For many, the need for a solid relationship makes sense at that age range. I may still be wrong about the OP when he gets to DAT age but its a guess based on experience.

I don't recall saying the OP isn't normal and I'm not saying everyone must get married.I also dont belong to any relationship school of thought. For many, the need to have a partner becomes priority from 30 which is the basis for my opinion. Some others still cherish their freedom. There is a 50:50 chance that OP will change his mind by then...therez also a chance he'll remain single for the rest of his life.

I think about the way I am and notice how different I
am from most guys, I mean I do produce normal
amounts of testosterone and have facial hair/muscles
so it's not any imbalance I'm sure.
Now that i look over it I guess I just hate having any
responsibility and prefer to be free from any schedule/
duties, I mean I have always wanted to be a bird as far
back as I could remember I just love the idea of having
wings and being able to fly wherever I want without
any constraints, I really envy them to be honest which
might sound funny to others lol. I just don't see a point
in having a social life when it just means you have to
talk to them once in a while to keep the friendship/
relationship from dying off so I don't even bother
starting them in the first place, I mean now I know why
people are always saying "YOU'RE AFRAID OF
GETTING CLOSE TO OTHERS!" to me all the time, I'm
afraid of the worthless commitment and I'd rather just
do my own thing, so in a sense I'm not afraid at all I
just don't care, isn't that funny lol?
I pretty much just typed all of this so I could get your
opinions on my personality, I don't need help or
anything I just would like to know if it's normal, and if
other people are like me. I'm actually glad I don't
suffer from negative emotions like other people and
am able to enjoy the simple things in life like bird's
chirping in the morning or a beautiful cool day,(too bad it's harmattan)
I just think that relationships are a waste of time
because people are so misguided and get too caught
up in the pointless things in life like their job or
boyfriend/girlfriend that they don't realize everything
has passed them by until they are retired, the thought
of that makes me sad, the world is a cruel place and
humans are the only animals that intentionally kill one
another for trivial reasons, they just need to step back
and get in tune with reality instead of religions that
speak of peace and love but in truth just promote
bloodshed for the god they worship in a cloak and
dagger method, lol anyways sorry about all that I was
letting my mind wander a bit so yeah. Hope u liked it
