SQLmastar:I reckon you misinterpreted what you saw on portal at the process of registering your courses for examination. Charges for late registration as not commenced. I suggest you visit your portal and carry out your academic operations in the wee hours of the night for smooth and faultless exercise. |

Phiheywhy1:No need to panic sir,the problem is general. It happens to virtually all students, guess it is a hitch on NOUN server |

Someone help me do this finding as i will appreciate so much. I have done 42 credit units required for graduation as Msc student. However, i registered for an exam last semester which i did not write and the course is a core course. So my question is must i write it to graduate?? Or it can be ignored since i never sat for the exam?? Speedy response will be appreciated. Thanks |

lakesidepapa:I had the same problem on my portal page, I visited the study centre and nothing was done, I emailed the Lagos account officer nothing was done, so I paid the 23,000 naira instead of 13,000 as a second semester student PGDE. But I will submit an application for refund of 10,000 naira to the study centre. |
| Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Emanus: 4:47pm On Feb 20, 2016 |
Emanus:The portal is rigid and will only accept the minimum of 23,000 for your transaction ID to be generated. |

Pls help again! ! I wrote 8 courses last semester and 5 courses results were released, I noticed that the remaining 3 courses that were not released are now showing up in my portal that I should pay for exam fees again. I checked my TMA link the assessment are also showing up. I hope I will not regret of investing my money in PGDE in NOUN? Please what should I do? I have gone to study centre , nobody seems to listen to me. The money I invested would have earned my nice MSc in Nigeria leading University but because I need education qualification, I am tired of NOUN . Please advice!!! |

Emanus:You are not alone in this. Many students have the same problem. The courses are showing in your registrable courses simply because they have not released the results, not that you failed. I will advise you patiently wait till when they will release it. They will. It's just a matter of time. If you are in Lagos, you can also go to the HQ. No school doesn't have missing result palava. Beheading is not the solution to headache |

While we can only register 24 units, Computer science Compulsary courses has total of 26 units. What can be done since all are compulsary? |

Kazrem:Thanks for your concern, I had B.Tech already and nothing like missing results, it's called failed absent and incase if it means that shows you didn't write your Matric number, but Anyway it will not require you to pay money for what you did and you did not see. I have to pay additional 10k to my compulsory fees of 13k as a second semester student for what was error on NOUN ICT, I wrote to centralinfo@ nou.edu.ng. I only got acknowledgement message and nothing was done. I called the customer service for NOUN, no customer service relations after I spent so much before the call was picked. Beheading may not be cure for headache as suggested in your proverb but headache could make your day disgusting and fruitless if you have one! It's a pity for our dear country that nothing works, Federal, state and private universities are really ensuring working to ensure headaches doesn't worry their students, I think NOUN can-do that too. In NOUN you will register 8 courses and you will only get 3 course materials In NOUN you will be supervised by your colleagues (Civil Defense, Police) and next exam the supervisor will turn to NOUN students again vice versa and impunity will be the song? In NOUN the course materials are obsolete and cannot be reviews with lots of typos and grammatical mistakes Am just trying to tell you headache could lead to beheading. Lols |

Kazrem:So results not released will show on registrable courses? So that means one has to pay for exam and still register it again. Then I guess I don't have to worry about an exam I missed since I didn't write it, then it will be among among registrable courses when I have reached 42 credit units?? |
| Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Kazrem(m): 11:59pm On Feb 20, 2016 |
ejibaba:No. That a result hasn't been released and shows in registrable courses doesn't mean you will pay for the exam and register it again. It is because the result hasn't been released that's why it still showing. If you do exam now and after some weeks that results haven't been released before another semester begins, you will see all those courses you did their exams in the registrable courses. Until when results are released (and of course if you pass them), they will still show in registrable courses. I hope you understand it. |

Can anyone please provide me answers.... Computer Science Course registration for 100 Level First semester has total of 13 courses with 26 Compulsary units while only 24 units are allowed to be registered. What can be done to solve this problem? Should i drop one compulsary course or is this simply a problem on noun portal? Anyone facing the same problem? |

Kazrem:why is Noun ICT not doing a good job as per students homepage and updating, despite huge amounts of money we all pay for their services ![]() I can't even register my exam courses and the few attempts I make, they would deduct my wallet and still not register it. So Frustrating! |
