WO! They have not seen anything yet. They better send their children back to naija to study because nobody can save them from this forex scarcity. These same children would study abroad and come back to Nigeria to intimidate the rest of us that studied here.
These parents contributed to the dropped in value of naira. They make money in naija and pump it abroad. Why dem no go suffer the fruit of their labour? This is a practical example of cause and effect tongue tongue tongue tongue grin

Mak dem send der wards bak here in Nigeria.

Fire, you are quick to use the term "hypo /Jik" but what is this one you swing from thread to thread with divergent opinions about USD scarcity?

Where is the Forex supposed to come from when oil is trading @ 32$ (minor miracle) , the country almost entirely depend on just the proceeds from this single commodity & I'm 100% sure you in your personal capacity produces nothing worthy of export!!

Chill "high chief" (jury is still out on that one,) there is life outside of your angst/bitterness/beed with Tinubu.... you can't keep harping on that, free your mind & live your life!! not everything is political! Pele! sad

Was there not enough forex during GEJ's time despite the fact oil went from $120 to $45? Despite the steep decline, it went from 165 to 210 by the time GEJ left.

Now it has gone haywire because the president who has an economics degree from Sambisa is enacting bankrupt economic policies which are ruining the economy.

Weep no more parents, coz there are lots of universities, polytechnics & college of education here in Nigeria..
They should all withdraw there lads from all those oversea schools coz they are using those kids studies oversea to delapiidate the little foreign reserve we have tht would have being used @ forex for importation of important goods into the country,,,
only students going to study professional courses & those going for research with guarantee tht they will return to practise should only be given preference...
why should a student be going abroad to study political sc.,sociology, etc with our foreign reserve s going down the drain.,,abeg let them withdraw all of them & send to schools in Nigeria,,afterall, there are still gud private universities here if u feel u dont like govt. Owned schools..
You are a part of the world's problem. What's wrong with parents sending their children abroad. I pity you

Mr or Mrs wisdom unlimited calling others names cos you disagree with them is not "ignorant"... well done, felt like setting you straight though....,

Not everything is emotional driven... education enhances life & living but it still is a LUXURY when there are options locally...

Dubai furnitures last longer & are more beautiful but it becomes a luxury when you have to sweat to acquire...

Some send their kids to GHANA!! undecided Ghana in the name of foreign education when Babcock & Convenant are right there...

Fyi, I have people doing graduate studies abroad after 1st degree back here but that doesn't make it less of a Luxury, Unilag & UNN also have PG schools!!!
View it anyway, Ghana's education is better.... full stop. ..u can't compare legon with any school here..

it so sad that such a situation have to befall this country in a time like this. nevertheless, I think this will further serve as an open eye for the country to develop herself locally, the forex should serve better purpose and for the development of the country not for individual favours.

How to do expect any Nigerian to export anything in this hardship and economic conditions ? How do you compete favorably in the international market ?

As much as I sympertize with this administration, I will surely not shy away from my strong opposition stand, we warned Nigerians not to return back to Egypt & slavery, they refused to listen. See the nemesis now.

CBN no longer independence to marshal its best policy, but rather take orders from the dullard.

Oga, no vex o. But Wetin u dey yan.
Is it the president's fault that oil price keeps decreasing by the minute. If you tell me you don't know that such a thing as this was going to hit the country in our generation then........ The policies may be harsh but it's not one person's fault but all. We called for this when we craved for Italian shoes, american iPad , exotic goods and sorts.

Why on earth are they crying for heavens sake!! schooling abroad is a "Luxury", it is not a Basic need!! undecided .... The country is barely able to give oil importers & manufacturers the Forex they need, where on earth will the one for "Luxury" items come from....

It's not easy for the parent but the country is in a dire straits & their wards problems are the least of the present worries!

The problem with most of you quoting without comprehension of the point is that you have refused to understand the context.. & check the meaning of Luxury, Time for some is a LUXURY.

RICH PEOPLE who can afford it are not feeling the pinch, it is the average Joes & janes who are STRUGGLING that it is a LUXURY for, if they get to ABOk1, they will find, AFFORDABILITY is the issue.... step out of your cocoons & see people who can afford to buying scarce FX like it's water...... You won't find the elites moping on front of bank tellers... and while at it pray for oil price to miraculously climb out of the valley cos without that padding to jumpstart the economy... things are really messed up!! sad

They're bloody losers. According to studies, the average Nigerian IQ is a 75(near retardation). This thread lends some credibility to that claim. Filled with jealous, unintelligent people.

Let them send those kids down here. If they truly want to get best for their kids in terms of education, they should help fund d local schools.

Yale, Oxford and co are not what they are today if not for contributions from the society and rich individuals to still keep it up to standard.

How do u want naija skul to grow when u spend every dime u have in abroad schools?

Just imagine if my Alma mater(unizik) had collected close to 3million naira per student as a tuition for 5 years and den use d money to maintain the skul, it woul have been better than all those skuls u send your kids to.

If I where those parents, I will calculate all my ward would pay all tru his academics life abroad, close to 15 million, invest it in the wards department here in naija, d standard will change and other wards will also benefit from it.

Come rain come shine, dem go still enter naija to come meet us for labour/ unemployment market, so, what's the need?
