i just got info from my partner in sokoto, a small basket of tomato is currently sold @ #3,500. And the basket is between 10kg-15kg.

A number of tomato farmers should join resources and try it out. It's for their own good. It's better than selling a basket for N300. Dry tomatoes can last for yrs, so u won't be under pressure to sell off.

I tell ya my brother. It is only in 9ja that you would cook jolly rice with 50naira dried ground pepper and the jolly rice would not be hot "pepperish" in your mouth. Why? Because more than half of the dried ground pepper have been mixed with red grounded kolanut !

my broda, u are damn right. There is a pepper called "cameroon pepper", try ask iya basirah in ur area, its so pepperish, thats what i use for cooking. Its sold for #50. Well, we are supposed to patronize our nigerian product, but we nigerians are wicked. Mixing pepper with kolanut powder. I tire 4 we nigerians.

I concur with you..My experience with agriculture as a business has made me understand that it is better left in the hand of multinationals and big corporations while small farmers handle the specialist taste of consumers.

wow! Make una see powder tomato, this is real. Honestly, if sum1 with available funds start grinding tomato to powder, if its well packaged and probably approved by SON agency, with solid promo/advert on TV to back it up, it wil sell, people wil appreciate it.
