Usually not. and It doesn't help when harmful stereotypes are propagated against people who are short. just look at what you typed. you literally just promoted a stereotype that short people are rude and defensive. It is possible that your mentality about short people affects the way you interact with them, and that is causing them to behaving distastefully towards you. Or maybe they're not even being rude. but you are expecting them to be subservient in a way, and they're simply not.
The solution is clear here, the next time a short person behaves rudely towards you, call him/her out.
