Hey people, what are the requirements to open a domiciliary account?

Passport Photo - 2nos; Means of identification such Driver's license; Recent Utility bill e.g PHNCN bIll; Referees; But where you have current account with the bank, you may not need any of the above. They just link both accounts together after filling the domiciliary account opening form.

I opened Domiciliary account in Diamond Bank Plc without stress first week in January, 2016. If you go to any bank, do not deal with those marketers who are contract staff. Experiences from my colleagues at different banks show that contract staff are always reluctant to open dom account. Talk to a staff in marketing. He/she will help out.
In my case, I maintain current account with DBN. The staff I met is a lady. She treated me like a king. I sat down while she did all the filling of the necessary forms. Then she told me that the account will be opened within 72hrs. At that time, CBN prohibited cash funding of dom. account. So I asked my boy in SA to transfer few dollars to the account which he did. After funding the account, the lady in DBN called to appreciate me for not disappointing her in funding the account.

I doubt that this is eligible for either Form A or Form M...you may check with your bank tho. The only other alternative is to fund your domiciliary account with funds from BDCs and then do a funds transfer online or at your bank.

Yes I submitted my application at a stanbic ibtc branch in Lagos last week Friday and the transfer was processed on Tuesday morning. Please avoid certain banks when you're trying to do a transaction like this as they'll prefer to hoard the forex sold to them by cbn to the highest bidder rather than use it to process your request...And guess what, the forms you fill for the so-called 'unapproved transactions' are also used to obtain forex from the cbn.
