I can feel your pains.
You might be the type that would want people to talk to you reasonably but hey most bosses are mad and that makes them feel as God.
Well, i look at the manager and know what he wants, maybe he wants u to see him as the main man that can do and undo.
Reason with him in that direction and apply wisdom. I know sometimes its not all about the money but comfort.
But believe me u dont want to go to the labour market again.
Appreciate his looks and stay some distance from him but make sure your jobs are without errors. You want like him later u know.

A very wise contribution! People don't understand that a person is more important than money. Most comments are of the view that as far money is gotten to hell with dignity and self worth. Imagine a person even asked to save as much as he can while there SO THAT he can start dishing out the insults when he owns his own business.

My dear, I have a few questions to ask you:

1. Does this boss insult every other person in your grade level?
2. If No, have sat down to identify the reason(s) for the insults?
3. Have you tried to tell him/her that the way she talks to you is not palatable to you?

Even if there is a weakness or incompetence on your part,resorting to insults is SO SO WRONG. It just shows his/her lack of leadership capacity. You may need guidance or even proper sanctions not insults.

If you are matured enough(note that we are all maturing) you may even feel sorry for the boss. He might have been regularly abused by his former bosses or even parents. So she feels that is the normal way to interact.

My advise? stay there until you feel you can't take it anymore or endure it until you move to another dept or so. Bottom line: If you decide to leave because you can't take the insult anymore, it is not necessarily a wrong step.

I feel sorry for this country,poverty has reduced us to nothing.Almost all the comments on this topic permit the insult.It shows that we worth nothing,no more dignity in labour,poverty has turn us to slaves and even house maid is better than us in a working place.sorry for Nigeria.

After 10 yrs on the same job with the same condition that 800k will become nithing too much to be happy about .

Be careful and don't try in the towel yet. I know it can be very demeaning and demoralizing. But he could also be trying to frustrate you out of the job to bring his own person on board. Just block your ears to the insult and do the best you can.

A poor man has little or no self worth unless you are either deluding yourself or refusing to face reality.
