My dear, to spend unnecessarily, is one tin we can't help.

You know why? I will go a bit personal to you.

Last year, I carried my contribution in my office. I kept it in bank. I was determined not to touch it. But, alas, life have another plan for me, my kid sister fell seriously ill, we kept carrying her around from hospital to hospital.

And, that was how all that my savings went. I have to start all over this year again.

So, you see, is not easy.

Yes, is also among my best bible quote. I always draw consolation from it, whenever I feel down.

But, if I am to go with that verse in realities of life, I will boldly say that time and chance is not fair at all. Why happen to some people and leave some people to be so wretched till the day they die.?

Why favour some people and leave some people?

"time and chance" reflects opportunities in life.
These opportunities abound but it is only those who can 'identify it' and when they do, 'take advantage of it".
But even these in itself, is also controlled by 'being in the right place at the right time'......... which is a measure of God's GRACE on Man.

For those who are anti-religion or Atheist, l can understand that they do not believe that God grants favor to some men, more than others (that also depends on the individuals relationship with God...... if you believe in God).

so, the 'time and chance' may be favourable.... yet, for example, your health may not be able to allow you take advantage, so the chance goes un-utilised.

You will be shocked to realize that some of these Forbes men are also religious to the point of asking for God's guidance, before they embark on any project. Some of them even have a better, personal relationship with God, than the so-called "l go die for church/Mosque", poor man! grin grin

Lol...not really. Life gave us same time,opportunities and numerous talents. As a matter of fact,your talents might me much more than Dangote's but the problem lies in how we choose to utilize them to our own advantage. Read biographies of great entrepreneurs and you will how most of them rose to shine from almost nothing. Just look within you and work very hard to actualize ur picture of future. Remember,what a man can do,a woman can do better.

to me igbos making the list doesn't matter,what matters is the amount of money in circulation,if we can tell ourselves the truth you all we agree with me no tribe beats igbos on this this
Igbo man establishes a business then he/ she picks more pple to help and the wealth keeps circulating,that was how my brother started his business and he is doing great now,sponsoring us in school
as a matter of fact it is a must in some communities for rich ones to pick some poor ones with them after Christmas

What do this Billionaires do that we don't do?
They think and act differently from regular people most of us surround ourselves with
1. Some of them inherited from their parents, the more reason we should all aspire to acquire enough wealth our heirs can fall back on.
2. Some started broke but had a mindset on becoming employers, most of us are buried in the mindset of been employees for someone until we retire. They followed up with that dream until they got where they are today.
3. They developed a mindset for investing. Most people are scared of taking risks with their money, the rich ones are not as long as it is a calculated risk.
4. They surround themselves with money managers, most of us surround ourselves with money spenders. Give Dangote mere N1m to do whatever he wants with to test how he thinks. I'm sure he has advisers that will give him several ideas on how to double that amount within a short time. Give the same amount to a common man on the street, to him it's time to paint the town red, popping champagne, flexing with the baddest chicks in town until the money is gone. Some would even spend the whole money to buy a car to impress others and the hungry girls. A month later, theyre begging for money to fuel the car. Later sell it for a much lower amount. That confirms most poor people will always think and behave like poor people. Slight sight of money to them makes them scream "I have arrived", when that's just the beginning of their journey.

5. Some of them made their money through questionable means, at the expense of others and people's lives. I don't like those in this class, but does a billionaire care who likes them or not as not as you're not richer than them? Lol

somehow, their businesses are not so big. However, I notice that the Ibos have a better distribution of wealth than any other part of Nigeria.

Poverty in the east is not as severe as poverty in other regions. The Ibos have a hustling grace that moves them out of poverty line readily.

This is how you people always lie and pull off aba stats.

REGIONAL AVERAGES
1 = South West - 19.3% Poverty (+ Average)
2 = South South - 25.2% Poverty (+ Average)
3 = South East - 27.36% Poverty (+ Average)

----------------------------------------------------------------------
** National Avg 46.0%% Poverty
----------------------------------------------------------------------

4 = North Central - 45.7% Poverty (+Average)
5 = North East - 76.8% Poverty (- Average)
6 = North West- 80.9% Poverty (- Average) Damn!! shocked

Sources
The Global Multidimensional Poverty Index by the U.N
http://www.dataforall.org/dashboard/ophi/index.php/

THIS IS FROM WORLD BANK
The NER also documents major differences in poverty and living standards by macro-region in Nigeria. While the South of Nigeria has relatively low poverty rates, ranging from 16% in the South West to 28.8% in the South East, poverty rates in the North West and North East are 45.9% and 50.2%, respectively. While the South of Nigeria (especially the South West) has experienced a strong positive dynamic in poverty reduction in recent years, the poverty rate in the North West has remained stagnant, while poverty has actually increased in the North East. Thus, disparities between the North (North West, North East) and South of Nigeria in poverty and living standards have increased. This is no doubt related to the recent security challenges in the Northern part of Nigeria. Explanatory factors for the high differences in living standards by geographical region are likely related to differences in the provision of public services and the degree of connectedness to larger markets.

NER MEANS NIGERIA ECONOMIC REPORT..maybe it is a Yoruba man that owns it...

THIS IS FROM NBS

Poverty was least dominant in the Southwest (49.8%), South-South (55.5%), and South-East regions (59.5%).

Even Mike Adenuga is closer than ever at almost $10 billion.

But, ifeanyi uba recently staked his N500billion worth just to do a work for FGN.

If it is true about his worth, then, he should be $2.5billion @ official CBN rate of 199 per dollar.

And I know ifeanyi uba is not amongst the 10 richest biafrans.

Let's just say, igbos just like their money and investments the way it is.

And you truly believe Ifeanyi Ubah is worth N500billiin? See, forbes do their investigation thoroughly before coming up with the rankings. You don't except them to rely on figures some loud mouth pulled out of their ass just for the sake of chest beating.

You sound bitter. Too bad ya Igbo folks don't have the same business IQ for incremental growth in net worth when it comes to flipping, apart from making noise everywhere and chest beating. I'd rather put my money in a fixed deposit account than invest in an Igbo man - FACT. grin

Plus... To be exceptional, you have to do extraordinary things.. You can't do the same things guys on the streets do and expect to be better.. To be better and richer than everyone else you have to do something everyone else is not doing..

Take linda Ikeji for example, she came into the blogging scene back when Nigerians don't really blog..
So isn't it natural that she is richer than guys that started blogging this year or last year when every street in Lagos has about four bloggers..

Note :- I'm not an LIB fan
