I can get a laptop stationed at home for my 7yrs old son rather than get him an iPhone that he can damage or loose easily. It will be so painful and difficult to buy him iPhone severally due to loss and damages.

That's how my report card used to look like from primary 1 to first term in primary 4. Came second during the second or third term and I was given no gift for taking second(I used to get gifts for taking first and the gifts were mostly books and toys). My younger sister who used to come second to the last(35/36),got the 32nd position and mum baked her a very large cake. I wasn't happy I got nothing and that was the last time I ever took first in school again.

If you are a good father you must buy. You must deliver. Your good boy has delivered you must also deliver or else he will see you as a lier which will not be good for your image. Next time you will be careful with your promise

You are probably considering his age to get such phone for him. If you can get a phone for him, it'd not be out of place to get him the iPhone. But given his age, phone can wait.
