All you people with your selective amnesia. Naira was already officially devalued to N197 when Jonathan was leaving so I'm not sure where you were changing yours for N165. Also I like how you guys are always conveniently comparing official rates during the Jonathan administration to the black market rates when talking about Buhari administration.

Back to madam Regina. This woman has been out of Nigeria working as a nurse for years. If things were good in Nigeria before now, why was she there? She said she agrees he's fighting corruption although unpopular, please can you ask her who it's unpopular among? Me and those I know are happy about it. The way some of you guys came here and boasted Buhari could never get enough votes because of the people around you is the same way some people think the anti-corruption fight is unpopular because of the people around them. We voted Buhari to fight insurgency, he's doing that. Boko Haram is no longer holding territories, roads that have been shut down for years are being reopened. Boko Haram is no longer attacking army barracks and making away with tanks and weapons. Even the hard to control bomb blasts have reduced significantly. The recently kidnapped girls are being rescued. You're a conman/woman and a liar if you feel all the evil we've been living with in Nigeria for decades will disappear in less than a year. The economy is in a bad shape and we can argue all day how we got here but I know things will get better soon with the passing of the budget. At least that'll act as a stimulant while the core is being fixed.

If some people want to act like we having come far from where we were, some of us don't mind reminding them.

Weapons purchased by Jonathan regime that cannot fight bokoharam is now fighting them. I suspect something.

Better than GEJ government you vote for. With oil prices at $120/140, no road, no refinery, no saving, you want Buhari to perform miracle when Oil price is @$26/33.

If you are not current of what is going on internationally about all oil producing country economy, Please google it.

Under GEJ, Nigeria reserved is $ 28 billion while Algeria reserved is $155 billion, Russian $379 and Saudi $500+.

I have been saying this to my friend for long, how can we be importing fuel as an oil producing nation. Oil import consum 30/40% of our foreign exchange during OBJ/GEJ. If we don't stop oil import nothing can improve in our economy and you don't build refinery in a year.
Oil importers bid for most of our foreign exchange every week from CBN when Oil is @$120+, now that oil is @$33, what will be left for other foreign exchange users.

If PDP cannot build refinery, construct road, developed our health centers, School to stop all this demand for forex, Buhari we do that under 1 years.

Remember Joseph story in d bible, we fail to save at d raining time.

Do u know that those abroad knows what is happening in Naija better than some people leaving in Naija? The president have confirm it himself when the Aljazeera reporter was telling him the break down of his budget.

In regard to boko haram, our northern people are the ones that supported them when Jona was in power, when Buhari said why should NA be killing the Muslim. And he refused to condemn the boko haram act just to get political point. Now that he is the president, he will do all the possible means to stabilize his administration in order to get chance for second term.

While rescuing kidnapped girls yielded no result becoz it is now the northerners emback fully since boko haram way have fail, they forcefuly take teen girls from their parents and give out the girls to uneducated boy or man to married... Denying her from western education, that's boko haram.

I honestly don't understand 3/4 of what you wrote here but I'll tell you this, people abroad don't know about what's happening in Nigeria more than those in Nigeria. The simple reason is, they're also distracted with the politics of wherever they're living. So if your argument is Regina knows more than us here, please that's a big fail. I lived "abroad" for 11 years and even though I tried to keep up with Nigerian news I don't know as much as I do now, I definitely didn't know all the little details. More than likely you know all the big headlines and that's about it. I'll say thank God for forums like these that keep Nigerians abroad updated.

Then I'm sorry to say but this argument about Northerners supporting boko haram doesn't make sense because it's them they keep killing.

I'm trying to understand what you're trying to get at with the kidnappings, all I know is kidnappings have been happening in this country for decades and at least we're hearing good news of rescues.

To those supporting Buhari, you need to understand where all the 'wailing' is coming from. Jonathan was in power and experiencing all the challenges of running a country like Nigeria. He and his family were insulted and vilified by so many. He was blamed for any slight misfortune that be fell the country. Buhari and APC rode on the waves of these insults to win votes making it seem like Jonathan alone was the cause of every problem in the country.

Please don't think I am defending Jonathan. I think he was rather weak and didn't do enough to curb corruption. In fact I am eagerly awaiting him being put on trial so he can defend all the accusations Dasuki is throwing around. The buck stopped at Jonathan's table. But if we want to be objective and fair we cannot push some of the achievements of the last government under the table and for now they surpass what Bubu has achieved.

But Nigerians were deceived by the present Govt. They gave the impression that they would solve all the problems with immediate effect. Now we hear one excuse after another as the country slowly grinds to a halt. That is why the 'wailing' will continue. I didn't vote in the last election because I didn't see anyone I could vote for.

We need real change and it's not this set of recycled he goats that will give it to us. We need new blood. People who BELIEVE in Nigeria and DESIRE the best for this country. One good thing Jonathan has done is that our votes count for something. Let's seek for worthy leaders and use our votes to put them in power

I want to assume you're an adult and you know a little bit about problem solving. We have real problems in Nigeria. If you think of all the problems in the world, I think Nigeria is experiencing them in one way or the other. With that, how anyone thinks our problems can be solved immediately is beyond normal logic. If you break ordinary plate, the time it shatters is way shorter than it takes to clean up the mess. These guys came in and unfortunately came in when our sole revenue generator is selling for less than a bucket of chicken in KFC. I feel like if we're being fair we would understand why things seem slow. Now I'm not saying they should keep being slow, I'm just saying people's expectations whether genuine or not are very unrealistic especially considering there's a huge factor this government doesn't have any control over.

I'll tell you something, if these weapons were bought and available during Jonathan's administration then it's even worse. That means there was a deliberate effort to sabotage the efforts of the soldiers. How is it now that the same soldiers with the same weapons as you claim are now recording so much consistent success. Not only are they liberating captured areas now they're taking the fight to boko haram in their stronghold. How come these soldiers seemed so weak and helpless if the weapons were available.

Same Senate where APC's majority? What on earth did they come their to do, shouting change if they didn't have their own evil agenda?

By the way Buhari's too fast. May be he should have taken up to at least May 2016 to get his ministers. There's plenty of time.

God Bless you over and over and over.

Some of us could be unimaginably irrational. Even in Voodoo and or magic parlance there is a process and there are steps within the process talk-less of righting the monumental wrongs that have been firmly entrenched in the fabrics of our society as if from time immemorial.

Truth is, it will require longer than a four year term of sustained correctional efforts to rebuild this nation and we have a leader who is on course. We should all join hands to encourage him and ensure he doesnt get frustrated or compromised while at the same time, on our minds we should be shopping for his successor, somebody who would be as credible, resolute and patriotic like PMB because we like it or not, 4 years are not enough.
