A woman abandoned her husband & her four (4) year old son for her rich boyfriend & they both (woman & boy friend) eventually travelled to the U.S.A

Out of frustration & desperation the husband went & married another woman. Unfortunately the 2nd woman couldn't bear a child for the husband. Despite her inability to bear a child, the 2nd woman took great care of the boy & treated him like her own son.

Few years later, the husband died in a car accident. The 2nd wife did everything in her power to educate the boy, she engaged in petty trade such as pepper, maggie, salt, palm oil, onion, tomatoes, etc, in the market square in order to sponsor the boy's schooling. The boy only knew his step mother as his real mother & there4, he called her Mama.

The real mother in the U.S.A did not for once find out about the wellbeing of her son talkless of sending a penny for the boy, even after she heard that her x-husband (son's father) died in an accident.

Some years later, this boy grew up into a very intelligent young man waiting for his B.A Hons degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University. The real mother who also could not bear another child in the U.S since she eloped with her boyfriend, realized that she had made a terrible mistake by abandoning her own son. She decided to return home to look for her son & present to him all her wealth acquired over the years in the States.

She eventually found her son battling between life & death .The Doctors demanded huge amount of money for the operation & the step mother couldn't afford it. The real mother stepped in & paid all the hospital bills and donate blood after the operations & the son was saved.

Shortly after, the final results were out & the son got a distinction & also got a five year (5) scholarship to pursue his Masters degree in the U.K

At the presentation of the certificate, the Vice Chancellor gave the mic to the son to call his mother to come up stage & receive the certificate. The moment the Vice Chancellor made the statement, the real mother got up & arranged herself waiting to be called upon whilst the step mother sat down & looked at the boy with tears running her chick.

The answer is suspended..........

I will call on both of them ,and thank God for making me feel the joy of having two mothers .Had the real one not donated cash and blood I might die and had the step mom not taken care of me ,I might not be were I am today.so both of them are involved but I will still hold my step mom in high esteem because she did what others can't do.

U might have as well died as a kid if the step mum was not taking care of u as a kid, even b4 the real mum stepped in to donate whatever it is she did.



For me? I will simply choose Mt step mum accompanied by a sweet speech about what being a real mum is and using d step mum as a typical example os such kind of rare mum with selfless love.



Btw, if my real mum hadn't had issues with bearing kids, she wouldn't have came in the 1st place

simple analogical ratio...weather i call on the U.S mother or my step mother, it doesn't matter....what matters are my intentions towards my step mother cos the truth is, i now have two mothers and i'd give equal attention and care to the both...infact, for the singular reason that my stead mother has no strength financially will make me accord her with much reverence and loyalty financially...




Bottompot, i'd keep the both closed to my heart always irrespective of who i called as my mother on the convocation day.

Did you think of the roles and their intentions before you posted this?

Look at Adonis's post, he gave the best answer although I do not support spitting on his mother's face.

You real mum could have as well killed you. You were her responsibility, what if your step-mother had killed you or turned you into a stretch boy, you wouldn't have had a reason to call her out. She did not come for even after ypur fatgwr's death. She did what she did because she needed something not because she cared about you. Your step-mother took care of you because she is a good mother and a good person.
