With all these con artists disgracing themselves (and their families) I'm only going to stick with donations to good courses that go through TeHN.

No exceptions.
I thought tehn is no more?

fairly recent.
Except there's a new change that I'm not aware of.

If you genuinely need help, then you should leave a form of contact, email address, bank Acct details or phone number to reach you.

Chei my People, my worst fears have been confirmed, OP is SCAM not that I didnt know from get go considering her storyline :
She was data collector at secretarial department.
She works with Mrs Fadairo( Mrs Fadairo does not exist in the school's Bursary Dept)
Mr Yussuf is the HOD. (HOD IS Mrs Awoyemi)
Mrs Awoyemi is her partner( HOD partner with non-academic staff, over what?
She works in Bursary dept. etc

I called and spoke to the "Mrs A" who she claimed to be.

1. The woman is not a widow. She was even at work when i called.
2. I told the woman what happened and trust me, the woman heaped millions of generational curses on the OP who is obviously Muritala Kehinde .
Heavy conc. Yoruba Epe. Even Mr Yussuf joined in the cursefest.

OP, As you have declared and invited curses upon yourself, so shall it be for you.

I am going to go off topic a bit here. TeHN has proved capable of confirming fraudulent cases and assisting genuine ones. In the spirit of teaching to fish instead of giving fish, can we work out a system using the TeHN model where angel investors can invest in qualified and verifiable business ideas? Maye even a case of crowd-funding startups from/on Nairaland.

Is this something we can look into?

P.s. please DO NOT push this to frontpage or any such

Has to be. TeHN is a charity organisation. This however is more of an opportunity for nairalanders to invest in other people's ideas and receive a specific return. The returns could be units of produce like, for example, in a kickstarter project where a start up to produce say ankara fabrics will give samples to every one that contributed to the startup as their return, or a situation where investors to the startup become co-owners of said startup.

I am invoking the TeHN system as the folks running TeHN have proven to be able to sift the many many tares from the wheat here on Nairaland plus already have established reputations within the Nairaland community.

Very similar to the case of the guy with the keke napep who also wanted to open a restaurant . Cant seem to remember his name. only in that case there was no returns as it was all charitable giving.

Not too sure how monitoring would work in the sense of getting ROI for those who choose to invest though.

You're not serious grin. Ejima comes? I'll send one in the mail to you.
And come get her when she's grown.

About fake stories. All I can say is that anyone who wishes themselves bad luck by claiming poverty or ill health shouldn't be surprised if they remain poor and sick all their lives.
The money won't remove anything from the lives of the donors.
