While we are battling the fall in price and ways to diversify, you went ahead to devolve our scarce resources on exploration of oil in the Chad basin, a project that has gulped up billions in dollars with no outcome. You didn't spend those resources on other sector waiting for intervention.
Now I ask, are u aware that you are a hypocrite?

To a large extent this country's problem is not the lack of good ideas but poor facilities to implement these ideas. We cannot produce local goods that will sustain us and be competitive in the international market without security and electricity. We can't improve on our products without proper research institutes. Transportation of Good from the production plants to the market can't be achieved except the roads are good and alternative means of transport are provided. Proper funding is also key. This is what Nigerians need from her government because the ideas are there.

the ideas are return Nigeria to regional government system with fiscal federalism.

But will Buhari ever buy this idea- never.
Buhari sees oil and oil producing areas as conquered commodities that must have plundered.

We had regional governments once and the system imploded!

Are you serious?! In the 1980s the Nigerian economy had a severe recession because of low oil prices. A loan was taken from IMF because nobody else would loan us money without insane interest rates as security.

When countries go through recessions people suffer badly.

Stop giving excuses. In 2006 all prices also crashed and the masses did not suffer as much as this hardship! I'm not exonerating our past presidents, cos I can't call them leaders, as they contributed to what we face today but as one who is supposed to be a leader you dont just dish out blames without evident action. Now it is a blessing in disguise? All what he said is all craps cos even the useless budget is a very bogus one which will just raise our debt profile. Look, with a sound economic team and an intelligent LEADER, things wouldn't have gotten so bad. Buhari isn't known for his intelligence and we all know he isn't a Leader; if you know what a leader should be like.

And for the records, no economic advancement can happen without evident and serious advancement in education, science and technology.

For your mind you think that you can stop importation of boxers, toothpick,hair extension etc, Nigeria dont have the infrastructure on ground to do that, NNPC boss have told you that it is cheaper to import fuel into Nigeria, you cant go into massive production without steady electricity and technological advancement. Inflation will only continue at higher rate and poverty will increase

Your right. Certain things need to be in place before we can start mass production. Electricity, most importantly . If this government can just focus on how to revive that, I think it will go a long way to help Nigerians.

Borrowing is not bad in itself but to what end and what are the repayment terms? Now look at that 2016 budget, how much was allocated to education? To science and technology? To agriculture? Be honest with itself.

Yes oil prices were high in 2006 my mistake I mixed it up but look at it right there, 2003 oil was generally below $25 per barrel and were we sinking the way we are now? Of course not! As I said earlier on, a leader should have integrity and accountability cos those are the the 2 most important attributes a leader should possess. Buhari doesn't possess either does he?

You cannot use force to change something, allow the market forces to determine the value of your currency, provide steady electricity, provide a level playing ground for business and see how the dependence on imported goods will go down by itself, the angle Buhari is taken it just mean higher inflation and rise in poverty level
