If u are married with children. u already have family ties. but to stress that to them, in addition to wedding cert & pix, children birth cert, have your husband make copy of his id card & sign on it and also write a letter of consent that u ll b visiting ur cousin in UK, and that while u b away he ll b on leave to take care of the children.

note. this was d only major document a woman I guided used in getting granted to visit her brother who is not even yet a citizens.

You made a mistake, if she will be taking care of everything apart from the ticket then the £600 budget is way out of line because ticket cost less.

Thanks a lot, you've been very helpful in solving this problem. I'm a man and I got my wife's consent letter the only thing I didn't attach was her ID card. I really appreciaI U and justwise for your advice now I know how to proceed. Is it necessary for me to go to the inherited land area and snap pictures of it to prove authenticity since the survey plan is not sufficient for the UK eco as that was also one of the grounds for refusal that he wasn't sure 4receipts was sufficient for the amount of money I had over a period of 6months (when a plot of land goes for 750k) and in some of d receipts one person acquired about 4plots that was the first deposit I explained in my covering letter and I also stated further that family receipts cannot be issued for land purchases not fully paid for. I don't know what to do in that regards. Anyway just kindly advice me on when it's ideal to reapply and I can gather the other evidences easily.

I will advice you try some other location if you truly need a getaway.

I still don't understand why asking questions should be equated with desperation. I rarely post on public forum because of the ease with which people jump on your throat without recourse to the problem at hand and I chose to air my problem on this platform based on the little anonymity it provides. I'm merely asking questions from the people with the technical know how just to understand what needs to be done and when it's appropriate and that's it! If there was a way to contact this people privately i'd have loved to do that without boring you with my issues. I was trained to always find a solution to my problems even when it is not of immediate use. Unlike many others I don't procrastinate I find d solution move on with my life and make use of it when due. Thank u

Get your host to state clearly that she will be taking care of everything apart from your ticket and you need to reduce the cost of the trip to ticket only

However I have a question with what meets the specified amount.

We need to achieve the £18,600 requirement but unfortunately I lost my job about six weeks ago.
Up to that point I was earning £40,000 per annum and would normally applied using Category A.
However, since I am no longer employed I will have to apply using Category B.


If you look at section 5.2 of the document below it refers to salaried employment at the point of the application which in my case is zero.

However I have achieved 5/6 of the last six months (£16,666) and 6/6 of the previous six months (£20,000) which basically means I have earned £36,666 in the last twelve months.

The example (c) in section 5.2 applies to somebody who is self employed but meets the requirements.

No. £36,000 was the amount earned via salaried employment in last 12 months, other than the last six weeks whilst not working there. It I had worked the last six weeks that amount would have been £40,000.

Most importantly, don't mix up the visa categories.

Husband: Business visa
You: General visitor visa
Daughter: Special visitor- child category visa.

For your husband, I want to believe he does not have a problem with his own application since the company is the sponsor. The Company’s financial documents, registration certificates, tax clearance certificate, sponsor letter will be handed over to him. But he must also include his 6 months bank statement (salary account), 6 months pay slips, wedding certificate, birth certificate, professional qualification (if any).

For you and your daughter's application, your husband is to bear the financial burden. As your sponsor, he must provide these documents that are to be included in your visa application – 6 months bank statements (salary account) , 6 months pay slips, and employment letter from his company.

It is worth noting that you only need to provide your [b][/b]6 months bank statement even if the closing balance is N100. [b][/b]You should also provide evidence of your previous employment which must be explained in the cover letter to the visa officer.

For your daughter's application, you should select the “Special Visitor – Child” category when making her visa application. Don't apply as a General visitor for her to avoid delays in processing her own visa. Attach her birth certificate, Father's employment letter, salary account and pay slips.

Also attach to your application; documents to proof your ties to Nigeria, these may be property documents, shares documents, inheritance, marriage certificate, child's birth certificate etc.

N:B: In the additional information page, you should give details of what you intend to do whilst in the UK. If possible, use an A4 paper to outline your itineraries for your stay in the UK.

If you wish to accompany your employer to the UK as a domestic or household worker, you will need to apply for a Domestic worker visa, not a work permit.

This type of visa includes chauffers, gardeners, cooks and nannies, who have been working for their employer for at least one full year. You will most likely be granted a six months visa.

To qualify, you must be between aged 18-65, you must have been employed under the same roof as your employer.

Most importantly you must travel to the UK in the company of your employer, your employer's spouse or your employer's minor child and work full-time as a domestic worker in the same dwelling as your employer.

It would help you if you read back in this section there is much information already here.
Your invitation is not very important in getting a visa.
You must have sound finances, or a letter confirming that your host will pay for your accommodation and food.
You also need to provide strong ties to proove that you will return home after your visit.

Reading back will explain these things.

I think it should be a lot more than that. It was around £400 but I heard that the fees went up on the 18th of this month
