What is your point on this You veered off topic. This has no bearing on our discussion about Germany. We are talking about study visa, you are here making reference to spousal visa. Smh... U don't need any lesson in German to go to Germany as a student if ur program is tutored in English.
Ur brother was denied visiting visa probably cos he didn't demonstrate good home tie (as in the case of tourist visa) to make the officials believe he will come back. If anyone is going to Germany to meet a spouse that person must have a prior knowledge of German. This does not apply to international student studying a program in taught entirely in English.

If Canada is so easy why were you denied with all the documents u submitted Probably because of ur 3rd class uniben certificate grin grin grin Omo see documents only to submit for study visa. Very Soon some applicants will provide documents and pictures of them swearing in Ogun or amadioha shrine to prove to Canadian VO that they will return to Nigeria or are going to study grin grin grin. grin grin grin. Try Germany and see the difference.. I am talking base on experience. I have experience both process firsthand. Germany is way easier and cheaper to obtain study visa

Sorry Sir. Sorry everyone

I only gave me advise which is what we all do here.
My brother on that advanced diploma boat I'm not talkin Based on just observation na based on self experience.

I will continue to advice my worst enemy not to choose it if they want increase their chances and to sleep well after submission

If u read my posts you will see that I have mentioned some guys who got in via adv dip.

Buh on a large scale majority gets bounced back..

I don't know why, but I will feel guilty If I ever tell anyone go ahead with an adv diplo an put him/her faith in a SOP.

PS we are tlkin about adv diploma after havin a degree here

I understand you bro. You are entitled to your reservations for them (advanced diplomas) going by your experience. I was just suing for caution. People need to understand more than anything that getting TRVs is on a case by case basis with some elements of serendipity to it.

I don't know if it was you that talked about a 33 year old with large study gap who got his TRV approved for an advanced diploma even after having a Bachelors in Nigeria. At least going by my own experience, all the people I know that got TRVs with advanced diploma, had bachelors already. 2 had "second class lower" degrees, 1 had a first class degree, and the most recent had a 2-1 from Covenant University in 2011.

Before Princey83 mentioned that he knew someone who had 1-year PGWP after undergoing a 2-year diploma, I am sure we all assumed it was almost certain a 2 year Post-secondary schooling will elicit a 3-year PGWP. At least I thought so. TRVs are case by case, in a nutshell.

Hi everyone,

Please, I want some clarification on this: is it compulsory I include my personal statement of account when making my visa application even when the funds from my sponsor and the scholarship from the school adequately cover for all the financial need that may arise?

Kindly oblige with the necessary info.

Cheers.

Hello bro, your personal SOA serves as a form of "personal assets". You should include it especially if you have been working for a while and do not have any concrete ties to Nigeria.

Cheers

Yeah, Thanks.. This helps a lot. Pardon me, this is my last question. I was also curious to know how you were able to prove home ties ??

This is what I wrote...

During the course of my application my sister was given TRV and right now she is in canada.

I also mention that my land will be used to build a school when I return.

Tell your dad to put the fund in fixed deposit and maybe explain the money for tuition fee, it's better you use you dad and another person as Co sponsor.
My suggestion

Accept that your opinion on Germany is incorrect and move on. While I would still take Canada over Germany, Germany is also a fantastic option and the student visa application is straightforward in comparison. Best of luck in your Canada app.

Hi all, pls I am really finding it difficult to get someone in Canada to help request for my gcms file. The only person willing to help is my sister who is a Canadian PR holder but currently resides in UK. She has been to Canada before and left temporarily to UK. Pls can I use her info while filling d form?
Gurus, pls advice.

Congrats yetunde84

Her profile is a sign that prayer really works when you pray wholeheartedly. I wonder why someone on this thread would say prayer is irrelevant among the documents I want to submit

Hello All,

Pls I need on point advice from all the gurus in the forum. I have a grant from a firm in the UK to study in canada. A company I do part time work for from Nigeria. They are willING to trsf the money into my account for my study in canada. Now my question is do they need to send their SOA? Or just a letter of offer of grant is ok. Since the money is going to be in my acct and I need to show my acct statement. Secondly i have a salary acct which i plan to add to my source of income, can I have the money from the grant transfer into my salary account or I should use another account. Pls help.

Thanks

The amount quoted is in Canadian dollars. However, you can use Form A to pay the equivalent in naira. Visit your bank for more details on that
