So I am into this guy and I can't quite place him. Before I started talking to him, I thought I was older than him. I later discovered that he's five years older. He just has a really cute image. A friend of mine met him too, and the first comment she made was that he's really cute. The problem is, I've been on a date with him thrice and I've observed him in different lights each time. First time, he seemed like that shy teenage boy with a crush. Second time, he was too manly and reserved. When I say manly, I mean he was so in charge and if I wasn't the one with him, he would have seemed unapproachable. There were long moments of silence and I didn't know what to say sometimes and yet, he just didn't look like he cared much. He wasn't even shy at all. He was more like an introvert. Third time, he was really playful and seemed to be an extrovert. He claims he doesn't keep friends but he's so friendly and quite on the popular side. We always meet two people or so that he knows in random places across town.
Why am I bothered? I've been asked to be careful by both my brother and my friend. My friend feels he's too cute. I think so too. He might be too cute for my peace of mind. When I say cute, I mean in looks. There's conventional handsome, the classic dark, tall, beard gang type of guys. Then, there's the cute fresh out of secondary school type of handsome. I mean, I thought he was like three years younger than me. And for someone who finished from the university just before I entered (I'm also done now), I think my fear is justified. He is the manager where he works and most of those who work under him look like they can almost birth him. I mean he manages married men with kids and all. When I first started catching feelings, I was so worried. I honestly thought he was underaged, like me being into him would be child abuse.
Now the relationship seems to be going somewhere serious, and I don't know what to expect. I'm scared because he'll be my second boyfriend ever. I have no experience at all. The only boyfriend I've ever had was in secondary school and that's about seven years ago. Am I over thinking this or is my fear justified? I'm usually able to read people but I honestly can't read him. I don't know what to expect. I'm in this for the long haul. I don't do casual. Should I just relax and see how it goes? If I get hurt, I know it'll be difficult for me to recover based on what I know about myself. He's also too much of an eye candy so I'm in a dangerous female territory.
These are first world problems I know but those with experience in the house, please help me out. Is how I'm feeling normal?
