Are you really sure you're introverted or ?? |

There is nothing you can do about your temperament. I'm equally an introvert, the only thing is that my introversion is meeting my basic needs, and in my introversion, I've learnt to interact more, and I've equally picked some interesting Topics. If I work in an environment where all they talk about is Kim, Olamide, Chelsea, Man U, Nairabet, or the latest Movie in town, I would equally sit like a 'Dundee,' but you can't talk National Politics, Local or International Business, Christianity, Family or Money and watch me keep my calm. Do not allow the insults get to you, I would probably 'cry my eyes out' if such insult was melted at me at 16 (same year I wrote JAMB), but I've somewhat overgrown that timid nature. By engaging in more tasking duties in Church and School, I learnt to interact more, face units of people, and I learnt how to make money. You never can tell what will work best for you, so start dancing in church, weddings, respond to questions in your Sunday School, class, and continue to build your PERSONAL skills. Building yourself and your PERSONAL skills would make you have what others don't have, that way, people would come for you regardless of your temperament. I attended an interview in 2015, and the MD gave an unusual test, we (about 9) were told to argue about a trending topic (in politics). Mind you, he needed only one person with the loudest voice. Immediately I heard the criteria, I knew I was going to fail. Arguments started, everyone talked convincingly, but according to him, we all didn't meet his expectations. At that point, I didn't feel bad because my presence at first wasn't about the money or experience, but to test my CV in the marketplace. It was a sales rep job that I'm certain won't get me half of my earnings by being ME. I attended another interview 2015, and I was employed on the basis that I spoke intelligently, not loudly, with less emphasis on my documents/cv. I eventually sacked myself 3 days after resumption to attend to my business that pays me even more. I was remorseful about it and I gave my employers and colleagues reasons I had to leave (not pride). You see, while trying to build yourself, do not do that because you want to impress anyone. I'm still growing but it will take a very brave employer to throw insults at me today. In fact, I won't wait for him/her to do such before I drop my resignation letter, because I BELIEVE in myself. I WAS something before I came to seek for a job, without the job, I would still be SOMETHING. You can be brave and still be an introvert. All the best bro! |

Introverts are irritating in a work enviroment where a lot of communication is necessary. I worked with one. It was terrible. |

hitz:If I may ask, what kind of work environment would require a lot of communication? Do you guys talk more than Maupe Ogun or Cyril Stober? |

menix:Rather than encourage this young man, you also contributed in puncturing his ego. Worse is that you were first to comment, while a bunch of bang-wagon-followers clicked LIKE. As far as I am concerned, this is a very intelligent chap. Being in a work environment for the first time, he needed encouragement from his boss--and people like you. I like to work with this kind of people, not because I want to use them (like you said you and your boss did), but people I will transform them into real assets for themselves and the nation. I have done that to a whole lot of people, who are today graduates of class and some, managers of repute. If I were you, i would apologise for typing this! |

Ndeewonu:I am not here to type what will please any man, If I type as I am being led nd it's another man's headache let him get himself a panadol.. I never disputed him being an intelligent chap but I ve come across his type nd one thing I know is that they tend to be dull in a job that requires a bit of labour. I Would ve given u a story about one of my neighbor who home schooled one of the Nigerians Automobile Mogul, a Think tank, very resourceful but his greatest undoing is that very dull personality.. A man who was used when the going is tough nd he paves way but being proactive to his environment messed him up that he was booted like a kid.. |

Acidosis:From your previous posts and topics I assume you're enlightened to know some job roles require constant verbal feedback. In a creative enviroment, you need to elaborate your ideas to your superior and he defends that idea to the management. I've met people who say they don't need to explain further on a task because the job speak for itself. They get a query and the next thing you hear is "I'm an introvert" pls don't quote me in ur next reply. Thanks |

Acidosis:Being an introvert does not mean the person is timid. Being timid is a personality disorder. An introvert is more introspective and thinks or considers things before resoponding. They are always analyzing and observing their environment. The fallacy that an introvert is timid is where this dull stereotype comes from. This is why when people step on my toes and I react, everyone is alarmed and scared because they think I am timid, so I can't do anything to harm them. On the contrary, I am rather calculating. So when I react, guaranteed you will never forget me. |

Ndeewonu:Thanks for enlightening that illiterate. The glee and joy with which he talks about using others. And then rejoicing that someone lost his job is psychotic. His type will soon meet what is coming to them. He is not a good person at all. |

menix:Trust me, you are not intelligent enough. Your ancestors and you were still packing shit for a living when my dad was an executive. Don't punch above your weight. Stay in your lane dumba*ss. You are rejoicing that you used someone, shows you are quite dumb and can't do your own work. Let's see how far that will get you. You can't fake it all the time. |

Besides I didn't even quote you, so why are you crying all over my post? You are boasting about a customer service job where you needed to use someone to survive on the job. Look mad man, your intelligence level is below -100. I am done responding to you. No one can make sense with a psychopath. |

maiahsaiah:Young lady, don't mix up esteem with pride. I don't want to conclude that you lack the prowess of proper word usage. I have known most of my compatriots especially the underprivileged for their penchant in disparaging others when issues above their understanding and IQ is being discussed. Believe you me, you are too young and beautiful to behave like a narcissist - refrain from such bad attitude okay. I wish you all the best. |
