Our defenders are very useless, defenders that cant keep pace with the opponent strikers, they were running like heavily pregnant women, stupid players.

Oboabona feighing injury was the genesis of that goal. At 90th minute with our goalkeeper with the ball, Oboabona went down in front of our box pretending to be injured. So the goalkeeper played the ball into touch in our area, whereas he should have kicked it far into opposition's half without Oboabona's trying to waste time at the wrong part of the pitch.

The other guy raising his hand instead of looking at the offide line is the second person to blame. That is pure inexeperince. I guess he is an home based. Echejiele would have read the situation better. How can he assume Salah was offide when he didn't watch his co-defeders?

In fact bro, I thought Obpabona's trick was a good strategy, I tell you..So sad it cost us..

listen, i'm not hating. Nigeria should do away with mikel. Dude runs like a milipede. How many assists did he have today? What did he do to give us the win today?

The central midfielder is supposed to be someone agile. A playmaker. Someone swift. Not someone who's pattern of play has been configured for life to be defensive.

Dude I'm not a Chelsea or Mikel fan but e b like say u watch back of TV. Mikel balances the midfield. Midfield play doesn't need runners or speedster always.

I was actually waiting for the moment when the nonsense defence would lose concentration, I didn't know it would come so late.

Siasia should have been more patient to allow iwobi have his debut in the second leg in Egypt. Moses simon was keeping Egypt very busy before he went off.

I hope siasia learn so fast. Football is becoming too psychological these days.

He should have removed Odion Ighalo who offered little to no threat and left Nacho up front. Odion Ighalo for Iwobi who can help out in a defensive role in midfield. Putting pressure on the balance of the Egyptian midfield.

Coach Siasia did not think defence in his changes and it is what cost us. That Aminu change was reckless and unnecessary.

Ambrose should stop taking what he is taking. He exposed the team to numerous dangers with his reckless runs

Disappointed we may be, but as far as I'm concerned, the Eagles played much better than they had done in years. So much energy particularly in the second half. Although that dead minute equalizer was a gut wrencher, who says we can't go to Cairo and win?

They had a wonderful game.... I think if we had more time to prepare or play together... We can defend and keep offside trap a team .... It will be hard to win in Cairo ... It will be a hostile environment... Did you see the kill sign by the Egyptian goalkeeper... It show the average mind of a Muslim from north Africa

Man, they didn't relax ooh..Remember Moses's goal rally..It didn't just enter and they made other notable attempt which unfortunately didn't work!

You are right, bro. But what is with them and conceding late goals? Imagine a goal in additional minutes in a match that we had to win.

Mikel played as a deep lying playmaker and not a central midfielder. His job was to shield the defence and provide possessive balance. Not agile runs.

Mikel did his job well.

I pick alot of positive from this game,

1. If we can remove juju and who sabi person... The future is bright.... I can see young players having the hunger to succeed

2. First game with at middle level coordination in the field of play

3. We have moderate subs now

4. Unity in the team

5. The coach, if equipped we can play will play with flair

On the negative....

1. Nigeria should be ashamed of themselves that we don't have a stadium... Our leaders from 1960 to date should all be lined up and kill them ( including their families)

2. Mikel should play so deep again unless the forwards are willing to drop deep than stretching or when the opponent is play a high field defense.

3. We need to find a goal keeper .... The charging to salah goal was so poor and very predictable... He was poor positionally in all the Conner kicks and Ariel balls.

4. The backline is in shambles and we need fast work there.

5. Why taking this game to north?

What is wrong in taking the game to the north? Can't u even see the way the fans all came out to watch and support the super eagle?
Bt I have the hope that we will beat Egypt in cairo, God willing
Re: Nigeria Vs Egypt AFCON Qualifier: 1 - 1 On 25th March 2016 by elampiro(m): 7:24pm On Mar 25, 2016
I like Victor Moses, but that dribbling was too far. He took the ball too far and had to chase after it. Those days a player like Kanu Nwankwo would beat the keeper and still have the ball in his feet.

Many of our players cannot shoot accurately.

Very painful..Our players will now have to be consistently reminded that the game ends after the whistle is blown..Full concentration and sharp defending should continue until the whsitle goes..

Yeah... But we had a much better second half. You wouldn't have believed that was the same team that made you walk out after the first 15 mins of the first half.

Nigeria would have won but a loss of concentration at the back pulled the Egyptians level. Their goal was well taken. Our defence went to sleep. But I still think Egypt won't beat Nigeria even on their homestuff.... Not after what I saw the Eagles do in the second half.

You said, we'll lose home and away. Well, thanks goodness, we didn't lose at home. #smiles

As for the away game..... Hmmm... Well, that's a really tough one no doubt. BUT TIME WILL TELL.....

I told you earlier that dere is No need for this thread..... Egypt will defeat them..... Home n away.... Now d av manage a draw.... Nigeria cannot win Egypt at dia worst.... Tank God after 15mins of watching them play nonsennse up ball thru out.... I went out

The game in North Africa would be interesting. I see Nigeria winning the match. Those who blamed the referee for not allowing Egypt score the winner are totally blindfolded because they don't know the extra 3 minutes is already gone.

Shut up Oga! You watching the match with sentiments. Mikel even though wasn't the playmaker in that game was a torn to the defense /counter tactics of the Egyptians. The suppose playmaker (Ogenekaro Etebo) was busy doing nothing till he scored that goal. He made no assist, never bothered to help the defence whenever Mikel goes foward, and always anonymous in the number 10 role. If not for Mikel's resilience the Egyptians would have killed us from the first half.

Ighalo had two men on him. That afforded other forward players some more room to operate, including Iheanacho. Iheanacho was poor in his build up play but he should have been left because of his eyes for goals.

Musa was substituted just when he was beginning to play well. But I think Moses ordered more.

Good tactical plan by Siasia. He is really a genius and the best we have now. The back pass made the Egyptians psychologically tired of marking down our mid fielders, infuriated them and made them unable to press us for a reasonably length of time.
The LB was terrible and immature throughout the game-Our Achilles heels.
Folks, we can win them in their home.
Ighalo was ineffective for most part of the game he should show more presence and maturity.
Emenike's pushy presence and hunger was missed.
Our goalkeeper should charge his defenders like enyima usually does to avoid lose of concentration like the one by the LB that gave salah free chance.

No, I'm talking about the on-target shots..The Egyptian goalkeeper parried some, remember Musa's own, not the first one, the one he took minutes before leaving..

If we had won, the issue of wrong selection would not have come up..The challenge I see is the loss of concentration towards the end, i.e. 3 mins more....I too thought it was offside, that was why they left Salah to himself.

It's painful because we could have won this match

I like your dispassionate analysis. We all want victory, but we can't win all the time. As for me, I'm taking more positives than negatives out of this game. They played much better than they've been playing recently. No one can sincerely say the boys played tepid football.
