Hahahaha. He's just giving good advice na. Seriously though, spending $500 on gre n toefl prep and exam can save you thousands of dollars in tuition and living expenses. A full ride GA can be worth over $50,000 per year. Now that's good ROI if you ask me.
They should keep praying for Hilary to win.

Hello House, I received an email last week. I gained admission to Yale University. They gave me scholarship but it is not enough. How do I cover the remaining costs?

Congratulations. How much is the scholarship worth? How much is tuition and living costs for a year?

Boss I sent you a pm.

US Healthcare system is different (so they believe), so they don't take foreign trained medical practitioners who wasn't trained in America. Even the medical schools don't take foreign degree equivalent except in dentistry where you can be admitted as foreign trained dentist and undergo few more years of training. As to your pharmacy, I'm sorry, you may have to start over again or go for something related in MS/PhD such as pharmaceutical science etc.

Like warriboy rightly pointed out, you should try giving a gap of 2 to 3 weeks between both exams cos they are quite tasking and time consuming. All the best once again.

I would be lame to expect something sensible from someone who got a conditional admission to a private university. It's shows how trashy and scanty your profile looks. Be aware that of you decide to run, Trump is right behind you.

Dickoflife, if you had applied to many schools like Fortissimo, you won't be in a tight corner. You would have a better chance to choose the best admission for yourself. But in this case, your beggar has no choice.

Nothing is as sweet as funding- free dollars. Even Americans have to settle for huge loans when they don't get funded, how much more this hard time that dollar to naira is uncomparable. Those Nigerian grad students paying at least 30% out of pocket, I sorry for una. You ripped yourself off.

Hey guys,I usually hear Nigerian students complain about various difficulties they go through in the u.s. One use once posted that racism is a very small problem if compared to other difficulties they face in the u.s and this got me scared.I will be very happy if some can just highlight some of the difficulties legal Nigerian students face in the u.s so I'll be prepared to face such problems.

Worry about your studies and how to remain legal after studies and leave racism for the government to worry about.

Are you for undergrad or grad studies? GA is the way to go for a grad student. And at bold, by paying with your own money...... you know this before applying to the school. Yale is a good school, so start converting naira to dollar before you miss registration.

Yes. Just looking for 2 more schools to apply to. Waiting for some decisions, have 2 rejects already and 1 admit from Auburn. But don't think i will be going for it. They offered me an accelerated Masters for 1term which is $15,000 then the main masters program is 12months, that's another $15,000 with no funding o.

Wow. How on earth were you able to make the $75 application fee payment for Auburn. I tried several times with my debit card but always encountered an error page afterwards. I sent a mail to the school and they said no one else ever complained about the payment gateway. Had submitted all documents but I was never able to conclude the application by paying.

All the offers I got were funded to varying degrees and I've actually made my decision. Now waiting on the I-20. My intended field of study is Chemistry. Masters level.

Pls which school? Also, after deducting the funding obtained, how much do you have to pay according to the i20 details?

Auburn banned students from Nigeria from paying application fee. It is even on their website. I had to send the naira equivalent to Bigfrancis21 who helped with the payment. If you could have someone pay for you outside Nigeria, that would be fine. Good luck.

Hello guys. Please I may have a little problem with my nysc certificate. I am a corps member presently and would be leaving for graduate studies next fall. If I leave nysc half way or fail to obtain the certificate, what do I do when I return? Can I get an exemption letter or I have to do nysc all over again?

Hello, boss! When are you supposed to pass out? You can talk it out with your local government inspector or zonal inspector. There is a way for them to work it out. Your Inspector can get the certificate out for you and give it to your friend. It's morally wrong, but I have seen someone that took that path. You might end up being asked to pay money by the LGI or ZI for doing the illicit act. Not asking you to toll that path, but I'm trying to tell you it can be done even though it's wrong.

If you've not past the age normally you'll have to do it all over again. But if you talk it with your local government inspector, you'll leave him with atm probably.
