There will be no convictions, no firm disclosure of any 'recovered loot', a little bit of arrests an purported investigations and discoveries and that will be that. Transparency will no longer be as we know/understand it to be, it will rather begin to take on an opaque meaning and appearance as far as this administration is concerned. The aim of the noise and propaganda they filled our ears with was just to cause dissatisfaction, not discounting the slow progress recorded by previous administrations, thereby giving them enough leverage to get in. They are there now... Religious crises will slowly become the norm with security agents of government taking sides with islam. The much vaunted plans of development and change will be just that, plans! With all of these there will still be die-hard supporters that justify every failure. These words are as sure as the sun rising from the East and setting at the West. 2 Likes 1 Share |

“The issue of disclosing how much has been recovered from his (Buhari) anti-graft war would be difficult because the money retrieved is subject to re-looting, and we don't want Nigerians to used the amount disclosed as evidence and exhibit against Buhary & APC Govt. in court". Garba S. 2 Likes |

It is either they want to reloot the money or they have not recovered any money at all. Which one is to be used as evidence all we want to hear is Mr.A has returned x$ Mr.B $Y total as at this date is this. That is called accountability which the government owes the citizenry as a responsibility. Honestly, it is so sad and painful that our country will be going through this type of govt at this stage of our history when we thought we have risen above all this pettiness in governance. It is a shame indeed for the president to say one thing and the special adviser is saying another thing. Governance now looks like a caricature. A situation where a minister goes to a state and be boasting that he has finished focussing with the president on what needs to be done as though the office of the president has been so commonized. I am not surprised though as any structure built on falsehood and blood letting cannot stand the test of time. 1 Like |

Aufbauh:In what way is it prejudicial? We are not saying the govt declares that Mr A returned X amount or Alhaji B returned Y amount, all we are saying is tell us exactly how much in total has been returned. If the govt can't even say that, then how can we trust that they are even saying the truth? |

plaetton:But they've come under serious criticism for the many names we have seen in the media so far. Actually, I am in support of naming and shaming. It's the closest we can get to the old method of shouting 'ole, ole' in the marketplace. In a system as corrupt as ours, it's the way to go. |

Stylz69:You dey mind them? It's likely N2t. If someone makes an error in figure, the media will report it seriously. Sometimes it's the media, especially bloggers, who're responsible for the error. People have no sense of figures anymore. |
