I came crying yesterday i couldnt get PTA. i had just 1k with me. I called travel agent to change my flight till Thursday hoping to get PTA. I couldnt risk it at POE. at 6pm, my brother who was expecting called if i had checked in. I said i was sorry i had delayed the flight. He was furious and ask me to leave the house immediately. Flight was 9.30. see race. we drove like Shumacher to the airport. Thank God i was quickly attended to cos of my belle. But my heart was still racing... Just 1k to show at the POE. I can recall @omodadi telling me i will find favour just like @leakytribe yesterday. Lo and behold, POE went thus: IO: why are you here Me: On vacation and have my baby IO: Just tell me you are here to have your baby. Dont lie. People are sent back because they lie Me: I got the VISA before i was pregnant for vacation purpose so i waited so i could use it for two things IO: I insist you are just here to have a baby. whenever we see you women with bumps we know its to birth. Nothing you say matters. we deport the cos they dont wanna tell the truth. Me: I smiled IO: so how much do you have Me: 1k IO: how do you want to pay. Me: I have my cards here IO: what do you do Me:........ IO: husband coming to join you Me: He should later IO: why this houston Me: cos my brother is here. stamped for 6 months no single document was checked. Not even the money bank statement, doctors blabla. No agriculture disturbance blabla. i didnt even spend 30 min at all from the time we arrived and when i was picked. |

Good morning all, This is my first time writing on this page, I need your help, I am due to deliver my baby in July, now I am not Nigerian, I am Tunisian (i.e. arab national) im so scared that if I say I am here for childbirth that they will send me back due to present political issues, should I just say im here for vacation? and hide my bump? I have a 10 years b1/b2 visa that I got before I get pregnant and I used it for tourism of 20 days last year, now im going same period of last year and will be accompanied by my 3 years daughter and mother in law who has a visa also, im thinking of saying that im here only for vacation for 15 days, and at that time I will be 33 weeks, will they ask me how many weeks I am and will they ask for doctor fit to fly report, will they check my ticket that will have a return date after 2 month ![]() I hope you give me your insight and help me decide what to do. many thanks |

taline:Hello dear and welcome to our thread. We know where Tunisia is. the world cup was held there once I believe. I believe u have been reading this thread so u know what we always preach here. 100% honesty. In case that dosent sway u, lemme highlight a few points. 1. It is not illegal to birth in the US. No matter what the political issues are. What they want to know is that u are capable of paying and won't be a burden. 2. If u lie at a point of entry, that is misrepresentation. U know that right? Good. That means even if u gain entry, ur visa can be cancelled at anytime. Secondly, a suspecting cbp officer may decide to stamp u in for just 15 days. Again, u realise if u birth in the US and your child is automatically a citizen and u commit a crime, that child can be taken away from u? All these can be avoided. 4. U also realise u really can't 'hide a bump'? A simple xray can show that u are pregnant *Just write a letter of intent *say say the truth * be prepared with doctor's correspondence and have proof that u can pay all your bills. We look forward to hearing from u WHEN u have entered into the us legally |

taline:Simply being honest will save you years of trouble with US immigration. There is absolutely no need to be dishonest, as long as you can afford it you got nothing to worry about |

Jollybaby:Jollybaby, many people have used and planning to use Oakbend and there have been reviews in pages backwards. You either use the search here or just read back. Also, oakbend has a website where you can get more info about them, u can use Google for that. People's final bills are different from one mother's or baby's situation to another. So you can't just go by one persons bill as it's will just be an approximate. And while reading, you can also get other hospitals that are even more affordable than Oakbend. Cheers! |
