SUJYDEE:You, you can use PTE since TRA does not require English test. You DO NOT need to build any account for an Australian PR, you only need to pay for your visa. |

40manlappy:CA also needs IELTS academics. http://www.charteredaccountants.com.au/The-Institute/Migration-assessment/How-to-Apply/Skills-assessment/English-language-requirement I would advise she should just try PTE Academics. She should practice Speaking well. I do not know why most Nigerians do have issue with the speaking component. IELTS Academics is a bit tough than General module. |

NNBB2012:Thanks a great deal. |
| Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by bellong: 12:38am On Mar 31, 2016 |
40manlappy:Well, I find it easier to write the academics than general. Since in academics, your essay will be official. Get materials on the internet for the two IELTS and PTE, she can make a decision on what suits her. |

Hello team, I have read through all the pages of this thread, and appreciate the good assistance rendered to people. I will appreciate if someone can assist me in my chase for PR. I have B.Eng Chemical Engineering and MSc Finance and Accountancy but never used it to work, worked in a bank for 4 years and started my writing business(age-39). My wife (age-35) has 9 years in Banking and has B.sc Sociology and Anthropology, she is currently studying MBA in Sydney. My questions are as follows: 1. Is anyone of us eligible for the PR process now because of my lack of experience in the engineering /accountancy field though my wife is considering the customer services manager position on CSOL, 2. I read that Nigerian transcripts and certificates are meant to be sent to them directly, for those that applied - please how did you do it to meet the same time for submission. 3. Please where the work reference letter be addressed to? Thank you |

40manlappy:Hi 40man, I used CA for my assessment and I used PTE academic, they dont accept general. just make sure your wife has 65 across all bands.your wife will also need to submit ICAN syllabus,ICAN transcript, ICAN Certificate alongside her accounting degree certificate or the degree certificate she's presenting for assessment. She should also get a letter of good standing from ICAN. Using bsc degree alone will be assessed as an associate degree rather than being equivalent to Australian bsc. Regards |

Goodcabal:The easier way will be to apply using engineers australia as a chemical engineer. Try and nail 8.0 in all bands on either ielts or Pte. Then your good to go. Simple and straight forward. No work experience needed as an engineer. Just your certificate and your well crafted competency demonstration report. |

Good day all the gurus in this house, after carefully examining this thread, i have some questions that actually needs answer. Pls which is advisable to write for skilled migration point test. Ielts or PTE ? Then I have over a year experience in Agricultural Economics and Extension, i think it's enough for a positive assessment from vetasses. I studied a 5 year course. Thanks much |

NNBB2012:Thanks...... I will like to ask how can I claim the 5 Points for the Partner skill qualifications. She is HND graduate of Food Technology. Do we need to meet one, two... of the following conditions or all: You can receive five points if, when you are invited to apply for this visa, your partner provides evidence that they: *were under 50 years of age *had at least competent English *had nominated an occupation on the same skilled occupation list as your nominated occupation *had been assessed by the relevant assessing authority as having suitable skills for the nominated occupation. I want to use the 5 Points to compensate for the 10 Points I would get from TRA. Thanks once again. |
