law001:observed the content of your thread and your response so far to issues raised. my background is similar to yours as your experience in Abuja. I was posted to Abuja for youth service, after the orientation camp, I jettisoned where I was posted and my destiny in my own hands by GOING FROM OFFICE TO OFFICE in a city a hardly know my way around. I will just enter a bus (from NYSC camp house in Kubwa) to Abuja municipal and I would my discretion to drop anywhere along Wuse, central area and Garki to continue my search. fast forward 2016, i own a 3 bedroom, 3 cars, a thriving business, married and govt job. I am sharing my story to serve as an encouragement to someone out there. As a Christian, the bible says 'work and pray'. So many of us 'pray' a lot while discarding the 'work' aspect and we still expect God to bless us. For you to succeed in life, u must preserve, focused, committed, dedicated and trust in only God to BLESSS the works of thy hand (and that my friend is the true 'blessing). happy new month |

Shinelle:Lemme break it down now. My one of my friends served here in Abuja at Wuse 2 and his house was in Mpape. He spends 700 naira per day. I'll agree that drops are cheaper here in Abuja than most cities in Nigeria. |

@Law001.This thread of yours is the most useful to me on my entire sojourn on Nairaland.Though i have Jurisprudence exams,i had to take out time to read through the entire thread.Your sagacity, courage and persistence is contagious and your success story so inspiring. Please send me the CV and if you don't mind, ill love to have your contact.I'll be in Abuja by August for law school and i hope to base there, despite the discouragement of "no job","hard life","expensive everything" im getting from folks. You are really an encouragement. Thanks my learned brother. My email is akpabaunyime@gmail.com |

[quote author=law001 post=44296488]My guess is either your family is in Abuja or you are very comfortable here if not, you will see the motivation immediately your host you are squatting with start giving you attitude. My advice, leave your comfort zone now... be swift about it. If you are a graduate and have served, time is far spent. And my motivation is, I have a family to support... I lost my dad late last year and I'm taking responsibility of contributing my quota to the well being of my family back home, at least before I get married... it's a personal task. You don't need to lose your dad before you get motivated. Please brother, do something before something do you. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, I CAN SEND YOU A COPY OF A WELL DESIGNED AND ATTRACTIVE CV.. FREE OF CHARGE. My joy is that every young man/woman should take up responsibility Please I am interested. Kindly send to Kov0118@Yahoo.com. thanks |
