Niyinficient:my guy, it cost them nothing to maje data really cheap. the amount sat providers collect from this people is quite moderate; they are just trying to make huge profit ni jawe, since our country won't intervene. where I graduated from, you could buy 100naira Internet voucher to download up to 4gb data, depending on the current speed & downloader. imagine 100student making such downloads per day, not to talk of many like me who download up to 6gb on a good day for free (can proudly boast of 15-30gb free download per month). do you think if tge school is running at a loss, they will make it . |

guys please dont let suffer head finish you o....data is technically cheap in other countries o. I can see soneone saying $10 can buy a burger (it shows ure the type that believed in india 99 -1 nigeria myth). how come we have alot torrent files from this countries? you only need to do research on their networks to justify your claims. I can also see someone saying Japan is ahead of nigeria, so automatically we dhould pay more. |

On my ps4 I have digital downloads of sniper elite 3 (about 35gb), wolfeisnten the old blood (38gb), drive club (about 20gb), metal gear solid ground zero (5gb), rocket league (8gb) and some other indie games worth about 10gb. |

greenhulk:well I pay an equivalent of 5700 Naira here in bulgaria and my data plan is 6gb at 4g speed, unlimited text messages,2000 minutes to local lines , 200 minutes to landline in America,Canada and the rest of Europe. So yh it's very much possible. Even at cheaper rates |

suco01:I've not lived in Dubai but I've lived in Singapore and Malaysia for many years. Singapore has one of the best LTE in the world and it ain't as cheap as u people think it is. The thing is a lot of people have data that is capped but they just don't know it is capped because they are not heavy users |

x6blade:Thats what I'm trying to say. Wireless LTE is always capped. Urs is capped at 6gb but some people here are asking for unlimited wireless LTE for 5k. It will take a lot to make that happen. |
| Re: Ntel Unveils Rollout Plan, Begins Commercial Sales Of 0804 Lines April 8 by krak101(m): 1:42pm On Apr 02, 2016 |
slinkman:... Still expensive. while I was in Pakistan I bought 7gb for 60 rupees(<100 naira). Service was asper world class. It's only in this part ot the world that people pay out of their noses for basic services. NCC should do something. |
| Re: Ntel Unveils Rollout Plan, Begins Commercial Sales Of 0804 Lines April 8 by x6blade(m): 1:47pm On Apr 02, 2016 |
greenhulk:I understand, but also considering the fact that I used to pay 3000 Naira for 20gb at 3G+ speed before I changed network. It's still a whole lot |
| Re: Ntel Unveils Rollout Plan, Begins Commercial Sales Of 0804 Lines April 8 by Nobody: 1:48pm On Apr 02, 2016 |
terrymason:Most of the downloads where made when etisalat offered time based subscription of 15 naira for every 5 minutes. 1 hr cost 180 naira and I was getting speed of up to 18mbps on my 4g phone. Within 1 hr I could simultaneously download stuffs worth 5gb for just 180 naira. It is unfortunate etisalat canceled that plan. Now I'm on Spectranet 20gb for 10k but they offer unlimited free browsing from 1am to 7am. So I just put my ps4 on rest mode and download while i sleep. |

packa:Oga, the business environ in Nigeria is hard not only on telcos and ISPs but on every frigging sector. SMEs are not excluded. These people must put the purchasing power of their potential customers into consideration before fixing prices just like everyone else does. Thank you. |

greenhulk:i swear you are confused but I won't call you a liar.. I alreadytold you 18mbps is equivalent to 2.5mbs which is what you got with your etisalat. |
| Re: Ntel Unveils Rollout Plan, Begins Commercial Sales Of 0804 Lines April 8 by Nobody: 2:33pm On Apr 02, 2016 |
fowlyansh181:I swear u are more confused. Did I mention anything about 18mb/s? Didn't I say 18mbps. And yes I know u have to divide that by 8 to convert it to mb/s. Getting a download speed of 2.5mb/s is not too bad for a 3.5g network. With that speed I can download up to 8gb in 1 hour. Problem is speed fluctuates but the average speed is around 8mbps. Pls next time read well before quoting me. Even world class lte like at&t average about 10mbps. Just put it this way, most wireless connections don't operate on maximum speed, if u want incredible speed u have to be on wired connection especially those that use fibre. |

greenhulk:u seem to know much better about this network thing. Me just subscribe to a favourable one. For now, Airtel is doing me well. 5k for unlimited? No network can try that. |
