can you show us a link where he said he bought the house or you assumed he bought it.

Wizkid probably has a visiting visa to the U.S which means he can neither buy nor rent a house in the states, but can stay in a hotel, stay with family and friends or rent through a friend.

There is something called lease purchase in the United states.
Wizkid made a down payment for the house, he doesn't own it yet but he is working on it.

To be honest guys, nobody buys a house cash in the States, that's where i live too, but what they do is make a payment plan , which you might end up paying for 10 or 5 yrs. so wizkid is no different from everyother individual that pays a certain amount of money everymonth for the house. That's what you all should understand. He might not have paid fully for the house , but yes he might be the owner. Trust me the way we pay for house cash in Nigeria, that shit don't work there.
U can buy a house out rightly if you have the cash. You talk about payment plan when you do have cash or u are trying to hide from the IRS. No dey give fake news again

If he leased this house then it is "practically" his own, so what's the fuse about? Where are the Accountants in the house? What happens when an asset is hired on a finance lease? How is this treated and classified? .. IFRS 16 undecided

I tire oo, most assets are picked up on a finance lease agreement in foreign countries. Its in naija here that people have the mentality of "I no won owe, so make I pay all the money now".. There is nothing wrong in taking up a leasehold property, its even advisable as your remaining resources can be channeled into something more profitable
