u dont need to refer them to the pte thread. Someone here has materials for it n thats all they need.
I have to.
The link containing the materials is clearly stated on the thread. The materials on the link are directly from the lady, johnstade, who people are quoting here.
I just tried the link on the thread and its working perfectly well.
Also, i have to refer them to create more awareness of an existing thread for PTE .

Hi, Struggling girl, Sassy.
You are good for both 189 and 190.
To start with, you need to write either of the English test. It doesn't matter which one you chosed, your assessing body accepts either IELTS or PTE or TOEF.
The important thing is that you score 7 band in every module and its equivalent in PTE, 65.
With this result and prove of not less than 2 years experience you proceed to AIMS for assessment.
The assessment is in two stages, documents and professional exam.
As for your point calculation, you might be wrong
THANKS. I AM CORRENTLY PREPARING FOR PTE EXAMS WHILE TRYING TO GET MY TRANSCRIPT AND OTHER DOCUMENTS READY
THE ASSESSMENT POINT I TALKED ABOUT
Sassy123:

PS: I TOOK THE ASSESSMENT TEST AND SCORED 70 POINTS FOR THE 189 VISA , AND 75 FOR THE 190 VISA, ALSO I A HAVE 2 YEAR WORK
IS THE ASSESSMENT YOU TAKE ON THE IMMIGRATION WEBSITE TO ASSESS WHICH VISA YOU ARE ELEGIBLE FOR .. THAT WAS HOW I GOT THE INFORMATION THAT I COULD APPLY FOR THE PR BASED ON SKILLED OCCUPATION UNDER MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCES .
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Nobody: 12:04am On Apr 05, 2016
HELLO E-FAMILY, BASED ON MY QUALIFICATION, IS IT EASIER TO APPLY FOR A PR OR DO I GO FOR TH OPTION OF A STUDY MASTERS VISA?
ALSO I LOOKED UP AIMS, THE ACCESSING BODY FOR MEDICAL LAB, I FOUND OUT THAT THE FEE IS 800 AUD, JUST FOR THE ASSESSMENT ALONE, MY QUESTION IS , IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET A NEGATIVE ASSESSMENT FORM THE BODY, EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE ALL THE NEEDED DOCUMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS?
IF I AM TO TOLL THE PART OF STUDY VISA, KINDLY ADVICE ME ON A 2 YEAR COURSE I SHOULD CONSIDER
THANKS ALL ANTICIPATING POSITIVE REPLY

The easier way will be to apply using engineers australia as a chemical engineer. Try and nail 8.0 in all bands on either ielts or Pte. Then your good to go. Simple and straight forward. No work experience needed as an engineer. Just your certificate and your well crafted competency demonstration report.

I just saw this and picked interest. I am a civil engr have a bsc with two years post grad experience. I have ielts academic (7.5 overall score) but expires this sept, i believe I can score higher if I put in more effort. what would you advise I need to do to emmigrate to australia and how much would it cost on the average. thanks

Skilled migration for engineers is pretty straightforward. For your Ielts, you need to have a minimum of 7 in all the bands to get 10 points. you can get 20 points if you score a minimum of 8 in all the bands. how old are you? that would determine how many points you get for age. then you need to work on your competency demonstration report so you could gain points for your bachelor's degree. Visit Engineers Australia website for more information about that.

Your 2 years post grad work experience may not be able to fetch you any points so your best bet would be scoring 8 in Ielts

can one change his course of study after a year in Australia?

for example, I come in with a packaged diploma in information technology and decides to change to a diploma in nursing or social work. is such a change possible?

secondly, is there any guarantee that an individual with the following
qualification will be given a PR. see below:

Bsc nursing
age 37
years of residence in Australia : 4
each band of ielts: 7.0

thank you

Sassy123,

Could you please always write in small letters? The caplock makes it difficult to read your text.

The points you calculated is erroneous as you might have put in details you don't have.

For your assessment, none of us can boldly tell you if you will get a positive or negative assessment, we can only advise on the process. However, if you meet your assessing authority requirements, you will sure get a positive response.

I don't know your complete information but if you go through AIMS and can meet their requirements, it better you apply for PR straight rather than wasting money on student visa. The money you will spend for the whole PR process is small compared to the cheapest school fees.

Einsteno,

For Engineer Australia, you only need to be able to demonstrate your competency as an Engineer through your CDR and "CCR" ( not sure of the second) component writing. Your years of experience does not matter to EA.
However, to get at least 5points from Border force, you need three years of experience.

Go to EA's website, I believe you should be able to get a positive assessment.

Lovetrust,

1.. Yes, you can after one term

2. Yes, If you get through to becoming registered with ANMAC and AHPRA, you can get your PR processed.

Shout out to everyone on this insightful platform making useful contributions every once in a while...
I have this question bothering me and would appreciate an urgent response...
Applying for higher education visa subclass 573 for a presumably young guy of 27 (that's a full fledged man oh buh in this part of the world we are made to think we're still starting life...delusional I must say)...would there be any implications of having your relationship status simply read 'engaged' even when you have no concrete plans for marriage yet and intending to travel alone?
Can it count for or against you during the course of reviewing your application. Or is it smarter to maintain a 'single' status...
I just want the smart choice considering what might play out in the future

like if someone has HND in chemical engineering skill what will he/she nominate that will be accessed by EA because according to their engineering technician which HND is equivalent to, its only engineering draft person in civil and mechanical or can a HND in chemical nominate any of them?

Hi family,

At last after the wait and wait and wait, I have my grant. Is anyone in Canberra here? I will be hitting Sydney on Thursday? Anyone wants to pick me up?

The wait was long and tiring. But it is over.

Franzeez wrote....
Sad news for me,
I finally got a response from the case officer saying she has received the the documents and that my application is undergoing further checks and that she cannot give a timeline to this but they hope to get it sorted out soon.

Dear friends with that mail I finally give up, I have also an offer in the California State University so I guess that will be it. I can't be wanting to spend my money to go to school and still bullied around for no just reason. Who knows how long useless checks will take and have me waste my time for nothing.

Thanks Nairalanders for all, I won't withdraw my application but rather I will just forget it as if no application was ever made.

Ifexsco replied.....
Hello Frazeez, every time I read your posts, I seriously withhold myself from commenting. Not to insult you but I feel you a big baby, spolit, and very very impatient! What is sad news for you? That your documents are being subjected to further checks? Is that a visa denial No need of coming here and looking for sympathy and to whip up sentiments! What if I told you that my 189 has been dragging for 9 months now? Maybe if you were the one, you would have since been admitted for high BP? Man up or Woman up!! Going to Australia is not your ultimate destiny in life! Calm down and don't come crying here everyday!
If that visa is to come out tommorow, will you ignore it? All I will say is be patient, no need to throw money around, see this one through and if need be you will deferr the admission. US student visas are no less stressful or quicker to secure. I hope you don't see this as an insult. God bless you.

..... Bro, it was as if my post sent you away from Nairaland, Lol!!!!
I hope you heeded to my advice....and now it turns out that "further checks" was not "Bad News" afterall!!
Am happy for you, A very big congrats! I pray you will flourish in that land!
