Finished my interview earlier today....a senior lecturer and an associate/assistant lecture, both were friendly...
network was a bit crappy so we switched to voice only
questions asked

1. Tell us about yourself
2. What was the result of your Degree thesis
3. What research method did you use and how did you gather your data?
4. In your qualifications you have Certificate in Computer appreciation and data processing, how would you relate that with EdGlo?
5. If your research intent was not approachable to be carried out, what other one would you choose?
6. If you gain admission, how would you make an impact?
7. Are you aware that, you will be responsible for your finances except the tuition fees?
8. What questions do you have for us?.....asked them about the G & C course attached to the programme, so they explained that they offer it as a course for every student.

We rounded it up with a few jokes and they said we should expect results on the 19th of April....
all the best to everyone in this struggle!!!

Bros Olabode, Finland schools just dey fall my hand o, I have to appeal my rejection at Helsinki and UEF is also rejecting me stating that "The two most common reasons for rejection were one or both of the following:

· University Admission Finland did not receive applicant's proof of English language proficiency, the proof provided did not correspond to our admission criteria or the test result was insufficient.
· The applicant's previous academic studies did not correspond to the content of our Master's programme, and the motivation letter or the recommendation letter did not succeed in convincing us otherwise".

Even with and 7.5 IELTS score. Now I'm left with Turku and Oulo.

Meanwhile, I got conditionally admitted (because tuition is required) to Uppsala University in Sweden and has been placed on a reserve list for tuition scholarship. What will be your advice should I get the tuition scholarship at Uppsala. If I have to choose between Sweden and Finland, what should it be? Thanks Boss.

Although i don't know much about Sweden's educational system... I WILL pick Sweden over Finland mainly because of the following reasons;
Less limitation of foreigners with regards to job opportunities
Bigger economy... Sweden and Germany are big brothers to Finland

Person fit blow enter Canada... But y d long thing if you fit enter Canada direct and early?

Finland dey very cool, nice and quiet peeps. The economy of the country is currently stagnant, less jobs are available.

I have a conspiracy theory that peeps that are not Finnish or From EU countries are pegged by the system. I have been here since August and i never see any African with correct job... Although i stay in Tampere and not Helsinki which is the capital and main City.

If you are a hustler with little future career aspirations Finland is fine for you... Cleaning, dish washing, postal delivery and other blue collar jobs can fetch you around 2000 euros per month if you work wella like machine.

The Finnish language is also another factor... Last month alone the language issh messed up some opportunies for me.

Another very important point... If you are a german German hustler abeg no go sign housing contract o... The best option will be for you to find a naija person that you can stay with for around 3 months pending when you get a job.

I will drop more issh as i remember.

Very insightful! Thanks baba. However, I intend to attempt both. Just don't want to toss all eggs in a Basket. I fit go overhope on top maple, Make e go fall through. How person go go about not signing contract? Shey na person from naija person go follow share accomodation or person wey don dey there.
Last bomb, abehg, you go advise make person chill back if person get scholarship till PhD level for him Alma mater? With very small stipend o and free accomodation for Naija.
My thought be say if Canada f up and I settle for Finland, e suppose easy from Finland if I get that intention to eventually move or enter better eu country or Aussie or Yankee sehf. Concerning the future aspirations, man no wan turn underachiever o. But I dey see Finland as means to an end sha. Abehg, help us clear more.

Bros.. If you have the means choose Sweden. Immigration is laxed in Sweden. Great education system, you can work unlimited as a student. Strong economy. One of the best performing/booming economy in Europe at the moment. Work Sara for Sweden

Lol no mind my lingua... Germo level refers to a situation where a person does not have enough funds for upkeep and other expenses but they are super brave, optimistic and tough as nails. They hope to get a part time job ASAP to pay bills. A typical person on germo or german german level can leave naija with anything between 100 to 1000 euros
