I am in the Integrated Computing program at UALR (PhD in Computer science). I think MsNas was at Fayetteville grin . Sincerely speaking, I think the people around here are really nice and the quality of life (relative to the cost of living) is okay.

Hi, I messaged your school about enrolling for nursing program( taking pre requisite courses).

I hope to get feedback from them but if you have any info about that, please let me know

D issue on ground is this. I was thinking, can't I get a GA or RA position by going from one office to the other? And also how early should I arrive in school to do this?

Yes August 23.

Oh ok. Your nearest interview date is not until about 2weeks time na. So there's plenty time to get the payment rectified.

Thanks for putting us through dear VO. I'm a graduate of Computer science from one of the states universities here in naija. I'm tired of this country. What's step do I need to take to be granted a permanent resident visa to the United States. I want to move there permanently. [/color]

Lol. I heard the diversity visa lottery application for Nigeria would be reopened to Nigerian applicants from 2017. I don't know when exactly application will be opened. This thread is for student visa/non-immigrant visa. Try to make some online search about it. Good luck.

Thanks so very much for the swift reply even though I posted in the wrong thread. I'm grateful. I don't think I have the patience to wait till 2017 for Dv lottery application. What step do I need to take to do my masters in computer science in a good USA university? Thanks once again

Look for schools that suit your profile. If you graduated with a BS degree in computer science, you are at an advantage compared to if you are switching disciplines. Get as many schools as possible based on the requirements you meet. Write the GRE and/or Toefl. Send transcripts, letters of recommendation etc.
Fall 2016 is late already. I am afraid 2017 is your safest bet now. Concentrate on States where you can afford to live, like southern States and mid West.

I'm indeed grateful for the update sir. May God help you too. There are still some questions that baffle me.
1. Are there any schools with free application? If yes, please help me post some
2. GRE and Toelf; which one is more advisable for me to do so I can stand a greater chance of being granted an entry clearance to the USA ?
3. What's the cost implications of registering and sitting for it?
4. And lastly, you asked me to send my transcript and recommendation letter. To who please(school or embassy)?

Thanks a bunch

I have heard some schools have no application fees. I don't know of any. Try Google and read previous pages of this thread for such. Some schools do waive Toefl for Nigerian students. Most graduate schools actually ask for either the GRE or gmat tests. GRE is 205 dollars and TOEFL is 180. Transcripts would be sent by your undergraduate institution to the schools you are applying to. Letters would be sent by your lecturers in your undergraduate department to the schools.

Read previous pages of the thread and do a lot of search online. These resources might help:
